Meet the Teacher: Today we’re introducing you to Elina.

Originally from Russia and now based in Dubai, she teaches Kundalini and Jivamukti Yoga.

Her journey with yoga didn’t start in a perfect moment. It came during a phase of change and uncertainty, when she was looking for something to ground herself and better understand what she was going through.

Kundalini yoga entered her life almost unexpectedly, and quickly became something much deeper. A practice that supported her nervous system, her mind and her sense of direction.

What we loved most about her story is how real it feels. Yoga not as a trend or a goal, but as a tool to reconnect, reset and find your own truth.

They say it takes a village to raise a baby. We’ll see.
For now, I know it takes some truly outstanding friends to stay sane through the 40-week rollercoaster called pregnancy.

I guess I’ve never really shared this here, but there’s a strange tension in my life. I’m incredibly lucky to meet amazing people wherever I go, and yet friendship, especially the feeling of losing its threads, is a very vulnerable topic for me. A part of my heart is in pain bec there are fewer and fewer “how are you” messages from people who once felt so close.

And yet here I am, glowing from the love and support of beautiful souls I met thanks to our third move in three years 🙈
Moving to a completely different part of the world and having a baby in a country where we are/were total newbies felt like a real risk. Now I know for sure: it was absolutely worth it. I would go through the stress and anxiety of moving a dozen times over just to meet these women.

They are role models to me — living proof that love and kindness really can save the world, no matter what. And that’s something I deeply believe in.

Thank you for being there for me: for every spinning class, every overpriced matcha, every heated book club debate, every spontaneous breakfast. I don’t say this often enough, but I truly couldn’t have done this without you.

Huge thank you for this beautiful baby shower, and sorry if my waters break at our lunch today 🤷‍♀️😇

It’s been almost a month since we moved to London, and I just got here to say thank you so much! I can’t say that Dubai was the city of my dreams, but it definitely became special and beloved. This is the city where I got married, had a baby and found a new big family. I fell in love with this city precisely because of you, you have been my support, my motivation and my inspiration. Miss you💔
