These last two months I had the pleasure of working with @ascott916 as he set his sights on Master Worlds🥋

At 62 years old, Allan had one of his best performances, taking 🥈in his age bracket.

We focused a lot on balance, core strength, and recovery work to help him peak in time for MW.

I was pleased to hear that he really felt the differences from our training.

There’s a philosophy used in Japanese called Kaizen that means continuous improvement.

Allan embodies that, and is an inspiration for young jiu jitsu practitioners like myself.

Amazing work Alan!

I’m excited to continue our progress moving forwards 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

The reigning, defending, TEAM USA 🦅🥇

Incredibly grateful to be on a team of talented athletes from all over the country, making up Team USA 🇺🇸 One of my favorite parts of the experience of UWW Worlds is getting to spend time with other athletes who love jiu-jitsu as much as I do.

Getting to pick the brains of people smarter & more experienced than me is such a privilege 🫶🏻

Also congrats to Team USA on a third consecutive nogi team world title! 🥇🏆

As well as a gi team bronze 🥉Johnny Morgan being so surprised we placed in the gi he thought it was a joke was hilarious 😆

Coach Reed is a bjj black belt and former division 1 wrestler at UC Davis where he trained with Mark Munoz, Urijah Faber, Eliot Kelly, Paul Schon among several other California wrestlers who would go on to pursue BJJ and MMA.

In 2009 Reed moved to Houston Texas and founded Paradigm, his vision for an academy with an emphasis on combat sports like wrestling, boxing, and BJJ. The original “wrestle-jitsu” guy in Texas, Reed has been an active competitor for the past 15 years.

Reed teaches both wrestling and nogi classes at Paradigm, along with our BJJ program director Marcus Bello, Pedro Rubim, Ruben Calderon, and many more!

Catch his nogi class Tuesday and Thursday at noon! #houstonwrestling #houstonbjj #sugarlandtx @ibjjf @usawrestling #masterofsportapparel
