It’s day 10 on Peak Lenin and we have just completed our acclimatisation rotation to Camp 3, it’s been a slog. Now back at Camp 1 to rest and let some bad weather roll through before we head up again on the summit push. Pray to the weather gods for good flying conditions, we will be hauling our paragliders to the top and id prefer not to carry them down again. :)

I was supposed to be on another expedition at the end of this year. But 2025 has been huge and my body was battered. Down to 84kg in body weight and dealing with niggles.

So, we dedicated the end of the year to rehab, training, and writing. I have gained 10kg in 11 weeks and am back to 95% optimal. I will be ready to rumble for 2026

The last two weeks we ripped it up at Bambu Fitness, one of the best training camps in the world. This place is next level and the coaching is first class.

Now it’s time to bounce to Phuket to finish off the year and welcome in the next.

Merry Christmas to you all.

East Africa you are one hell of a place.

It was amazing to get back to Africa and try our hands at some new projects and explore Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.

Mt Kilimanjaro was a cracking hike, however the weather gods did not let us fly off the summit this time.

Mt Kenya was picturesque and beautifully technical in its climbing. It was my first time climbing traditional, semi-difficult pitches at over 5000m of altitude. I now want more.

And the animals, incredible. We visited a dozen parks and conservancies that each held natural treasures.

Back to Tasmania, time to rebuild the body and plan the next mission.
