What a whirlwind day! We headed to the expo before the sun came up and didn’t leave until after it went down. I’m exhausted… but in the best way. 🥰

Getting to see old friends and meet new ones is always the highlight of our weekend. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi, share a hug, or add a little sparkle to your day. You make the long hours so worth it! 😘

Every single track on this album is just so raw, soulful, and deeply human. @shobean has this incredible gift for putting into words the exact things we carry silently.

“What If I Don’t?” hits right at the center of that space reminding us that giving yourself permission to not have every answer figured out is part of the process, too.

Moving through some heart openers today to just let the music and the breath do their work. Giving myself (and anyone who needs it) permission to just be in the middle of it today.

Running’s supposed to be fun, and racing should be the funnest. So yes… I decorated my race shoes (with help from @elisewallace), I’m wearing the body glitter, and I’ll be rocking the sparkle for my 26.2-mile victory party around Chicago. 🎉

Body glitter is always a good idea. How much? That’s entirely up to you. 😉

A little around the eyes. A little more on your arms, shoulders or collarbone. Or… just go ahead and put it EVERYWHERE. 😂

Just wanted to give a shout out to the incredibly amazing @sparkleathletic small business owned by all ladies!!
They are more than a small business that sells sparkly skirts, visors, and other running accessories….they are 3 awesome and wonderful ladies who I can genuinely call my friends…
I bought my first sparkle skirt in 2016 for a superhero theme race as I was planning to be Wonder Woman…and then I bought my second sparkle skirt in 2019 for one of my RunDisney races at Walt Disneyworld during RunDisney Princess weekend….then in 2020…I heard about the fabulous “sparkle squad” and officially joined in 2021 and the rest is history!!

Here’s to year 6 of me being on the “sparkle squad” and I’m incredibly thankful and blessed to have found @sparkleathletic and then later found out about the “sparkle squad”!! It’s more than just a running community but a community of runners becoming lifelong friends!!

Once upon a time, we were all strangers on the internet, brought together by a love of running & sparkle.

And somehow… here we are.

Cruising together. Celebrating together. Laughing until our faces hurt. Creating memories we never expected to make.

What started as a shared love of running became friendships we can’t imagine our lives without.

This is the real magic of our Squad.

It’s finding people who understand why you get up at 4 a.m. for a race. People who celebrate your victories, cheer you through the hard stuff, & somehow become part of your life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend. We are so incredibly grateful for this community & the friendships that have grown from it.

We’re already dreaming about next year’s FLORIDA cruise… & if you join the Squad, maybe you’ll be there too. 😘

We went to Beyond Wonderland to sell glitter… & accidentally became the rave moms.

Yep. That was us. Two slightly awkward, middle-aged moms providing a little safe space in the middle of the madness, & a whole lot of glitter.

We held your beer.
We reminded you to drink water.
We listened when you needed someone to talk to.
We were the shoulder to cry on when the night got emotional.

& Honestly… we loved every second of it.

Thank you to the Beyond community for being so incredibly welcoming & showing us firsthand what PLUR is all about.
