POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

the day before our wedding 🖤

As most of you know, Jayci & I celebrated our marriage near the Lake District of England during the most beautiful week in spring this year.
This shoot was the day before our wedding day. We spent all day sorting out the details and meeting with venders to start making all our planning come to life. But this shoot ended up being one of the most amazing parts of the day, because we got to take some time for ourselves and just be us.
We later spent the evening at our rehearsal dinner with our closest friends and family at Elm Lodge, where we stayed for the week. Shortly after, we all went down to support the local pub just down the street. Of course, we had way too much fun and decided to go for a drunken stroll with our best friends in the whole world to go see the miniature ponies in town. Yes, miniature ponies. 🐴✨
The day before was such a dream and full of love. We are so grateful for everyone who came to celebrate our love.

Thank you 📸: @elisha.pickles for capturing the peace within this busy and wonderful day. These photos will always remind us of our most intimate and precious moments.

Thank you 🧑‍🍳: @guilherme.b.tavares for our amazing rehearsal dinner. Everyone was THRILLED and blown away by your talents!

Thank you 🏰: @elm.lodge for hosting us, our friends, and families during our stay. It was amazing and such a perfect place to celebrate our love.

When @elisha.pickles came to hang out with us for a day, she captured our life in a way that feels like a movie. Baby Oria, still only 27 weeks, warm and safe in my womb. 🤍

I wasn’t ready for how much love I already have for you. I hope that one day, you’ll cherish these photos as much as we do.

I can’t wait to see the Super 8 film you made, Elisha! We’re also so excited for Part 2 in Scotland. 🥰

Next week, I’ll share week 28, captured by my friend @missbrittt during a weekend away near Rye. 🥰

There is something magical that happens when women come together, put aside comparison, and let their inner light glow, releasing all our creativity together. During the retreat, we lift another up. Sometimes it’s a few encouraging words that stay with you long after the weekend ends, or a small settings tweak that could solve an issue you’ve been having. You may arrive hoping for beautiful photos, but you’ll leave with something even more valuable: a village of women cheering you on long after you’ve returned home. If this sounds like something you need, I would love to welcome you to our circle. Come and join us this September.

Receiving beautiful autumn galleries from the amazingly talented @elisha.pickles reminding me how quickly life can change…
Autumn and winter were some of the toughest times but life can change within weeks, sometimes just moments ♥️

Forever greatful for the magic of life, all of it ✨

My highs & lows from my first paid photography retreat, The Light Between Us. I had so much fun planning this event. I was determined to create something affordable, creative, but also collaborative, where every level is welcomed, able to have their say, and can bring their own spice to each shoot.

I am definitely not perfect and made loads of mistakes along the way, but I am also not scared to admit it, because from mistakes comes so much growth!

I have already started working on the next event, so if you want to join, comment below and I will add you to the waiting list. Both events will be in Kent: one in Kingsdown (11th–13th) and one in Margate (18th–20th September).

The tickets will be for sale in a couple of weeks—stay tuned! ❤️

Do yourself a favour and stay for the last slide ⛅️🌻 a family moment that embodies warmth, love and freedom all in one.

There’s not much else say other than The Pickles were epic in every sense of the word. Their boys were full of life and spirit and that only comes from the two that allow them that space- the love shared between all four was amazing to see and capture.

I loved this session at TLBU organised by @albalone

Some captures of @elisha.pickles family at The Light Between Us retreat I organised in Dorset.

My plan was to shoot at Durdle Door, but when we arrive, the pathway was closed! No drama, we pivoted and went to Man O’War Beach, which didn’t disappoint! The light was even better, filtered by the cliffs, with plenty of dark backgrounds just how I like it.

Capturing another (incredibly talented) photographer can be intimidating, you wonder if you’re directing them right, if they would love their photos, etc… But I always find it so much easier, as they know exactly what to do; they are present, they play and interact with their partner and children more. They forget the camera is here (or 6 at times on that retreat!) and really live in the moment. Thank you Elisha for trusting me. In a few weeks, I will get to be on the other side of the camera, for a very special session with Elisha 🥰 stay tuned!

If you too wish to join the TLBU retreat, please reach out and I will add you to the mailing. Note there will be very limited spots this September!
