18 MONTHS POST DOUBLE TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT! 🦿🦿🎉

BOTH knees replaced ONE DAY A PART! WHEW!! What a ride! 😩😂 These knees have tested my patience, made me cry, cuss, and question my life choices!

But BABY, LOOK AT ME NOW!

From learning to walk again, dealing with the pain, swelling, stiffness, heel slides and those humbling physical therapy sessions… to hiking waterfalls, lifting weights, and pushing myself in the gym daily at 5 AM! 💪🏽

These knees have been through some THINGS!

Every day hasn't been easy, and I'm still a work in progress. But one thing about me, I'm going to keep showing up for myself.

Would I say I'm a 100%? Nope But I'm a LONG way from where I started! Still pushing and still learning when to sit my ass down....because bayyyy-be, these knees are hard-headed just like me...smh. Most days they work, some days...well they do their own thing.

I'm not just celebrating 18 months with my new knees. I'm celebrating my strength, resilience, MOBILITY, and the ability to do things I once struggled to do (like getting off the couch and walking up steps - shit many take for granted)! I'm grateful for my surgeon at GBMC - Dr. Johnston is thee best!

18 months down, a lifetime of movement to go! 🙌🏽❤️

Transparency moment: most times I don’t feel like going to the gym…I don’t want to be there…I actually want to find the person who created gym equipment and cuss em out but I choose to disobey that voice and see it through and once I’m done I’m glad I didn’t succumb cuz it feels like a battle with the devil but I won!…consistency beats motivation…no dull yourself
