Heart In The Game is Toronto’s inaugural charity basketball tournament — 3 days of competition, community, and celebration, all in support of SickKids Foundation and TMU Bold Athletics.

Cap it off at our Closing Gala on May 3rd at the Aperture Room.

Rob & Nina are the pillars of the Heart in the Game charity basketball tournament and how this all got started. They are doing incredible work in the community to raise money for other families in need of support.

Please share their story and help us in raising money to help Dr. Lindsay Freud reach her goal of $250,000 in funding to research this condition. All of the proceeds will support SickKids Research and TMU Bold Athletics. Join us May 1-3rd, 2026 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre💛

Massage can help you feel better, while exercise helps your body maintain those changes.

Shoulder tension often comes from muscles that aren’t coordinating, stabilizing, or loading the way they should. Manual massage can help reduce tension and improve mobility, but without strength and control, those changes may not provide the long-term relief you’re looking for.

That’s where exercise comes in — something people are often surprised that RMTs can help guide you through.

Simple strength work helps your body hold on to the progress we make during treatment. It improves joint support and builds resilience so your shoulders can handle the demands of work, workouts, and everyday life.

Massage helps reduce pain and improve mobility, but combining manual therapy with targeted exercise is what helps build strength, control, and longer-term results. Your massage therapist can help provide the tools, strategies, and exercises needed to maintain that progress between appointments.

Meet Brandon, Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach

Brandon grew up competing in AAA hockey, high-level soccer, and competitive taekwondo. His love of sports doesn’t stop there - he also plays volleyball, basketball, muay thai, rugby, ultimate, golf, and even dragon boat. His diverse athletic background has given him a strong foundation to connect with his clients and patients, allowing him to better understand the physical and mental demands of both high-performance sport and everyday life.

Combining his experience as a physiotherapist and strength & conditioning coach, he is passionate about helping athletes manage injuries and perform their best. His approach focuses on applying evidence-based rehab strategies and training principles to building a strong and athletic foundation that will serve you for life.

Fun fact: Brandon lived in Sydney, Australia for 4 years where he obtained his Masters degree and picked up a serious coffee addiction to go with it.

Outside of work - he spends most of his time searching for the best burger in Toronto, watching F1, or hanging out with his Brussels Griffon, Ruby.
