A Betting Woman is out in audiobook today!! 🎉🎉

This book holds a special spot in my heart, a novel about a woman with three names:

Simone Jules
Eleanor Dumont
Madame Moustache

When I stumbled upon Eleanor, I couldn't believe a novel had never been told about her, a woman who paved her way in a man's world during the Gold Rush era. It was my complete honor to do so.

And now it's so fun to hear Eleanor's story in this new way. I absolutely love how Elisabeth Lagelee brings her to life.

I hope you'll check out it out!

The one where I lost my voice, and I found my people ❤️ (Audies coming soon)

Y'all... I don't think I'll ever be done processing everything that happened during #APAC2023. Getting to hug so many people I consider my friends for the first time, there really are no words. Maybe it takes a whole 2 years to process, which kinda works out if you know what I mean.

I'm so grateful for this community that embraces me as I am, and encourages me to use my voice (literally, figuratively, and sometimes, extensively) and infuse it will ALL of who I am. Please know I cherish Y'all, and not for one minute do I take you, and your energy for granted.

If I missed you (wether cause we didn't see each other or you did not go), I very much look forward to conecting with you.

It was a day of growth, of celebration, of community and overall joy. ✨️ (sparkles)

Shoutout to everyone who helped make it happen, to everyone who volunteered, and to everyone that, like me, was emotionally recharged and physically drained. We did it!

Some of the faces that bring you #audiobooks! Yes, not everyone of my pictures is with Brits (see previous photo dump)!
Meeting up with friends in the industry once again was fabulous! Learning from them, being encouraged and uplifted with them, and supporting them. Yes we all work in our solitary booths most of the time, but there's a mutuality in our individuality that invites connection.

P.S. that last pic sums up the week!

My girls!! @elivoiceactor and @laura_horowitz_narrator. So happy to have, after a couple of years of meeting on-line once a week, finally met two of my three accountability partners in person! (Missed you @kaleighnarrates)

And what amazing partners they are! I had so much fun at #APAC2023 with them, also meeting so many other wonderful narrators and colleagues. It was so much more than I'd even hoped for. Clearly I didn't take enough pictures! Thanks again to the APA for a fantastic conference with the outstanding keynote speaker, @lindseythjackson and panels. Cannot wait until next time!
