1,050 kilometres. Mundaring to Albany.

MAAP athlete @ella.bloor took on Western Australia’s Munda Biddi Trail with the ambition of establishing a new women’s Fastest Known Time.

From dense forests to remote stretches of rugged terrain, the journey brought unpredictable conditions and challenges along the way. Suffering from Shermer’s Neck, Ella ultimately cut the attempt short, the experience offered its own lessons in endurance, resilience and the unpredictable nature of adventure.

A reminder that not every pursuit is defined by the finish line.

In the women’s race, @ella.bloor and @haleyhuntersmith each delivered rides they can be proud of in a field that never let up for a moment, and we’re proud to have had them all racing in QUOC. Well done to every rider who lined up down under.

Coming into Worlds as last year’s champion puts a target on your back, and @florian_vermeersch rode with all of that pressure through one of the most fiercely contested races of the year to finish second against the best gravel riders on the planet.

@connor.sens also raced on home soil in a tough, climb-filled race, securing a top 50 finish. Hard-earned and well deserved.

I LOVE A BIKE RACE !!, even more when my friends are in them, and even more still when i get to hand them a bottle !! the internet is ALIVE with content after that glorious weekend in nannup and for once it’s making me feel so warm and happy !! this is what social media was made for, remember it can do good things people, so many gorgeous shared images making for gorgeous shared memories. all this love for each other, just from going outside and pedaling around in the mud for a bit, serious question could this be the secret to world peace ? ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

GRAVEL WORLD CHAMPS // Congrats to all Alpine CC athletes who competed at the UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup, WA.

Our small regional club was incredibly well represented on the world stage with at least 7 local riders donning the green & gold to represent their country, including three in the Elite field.

ACC rider Rachel Butterworth claimed a Silver Medal in the Women's 55-59 age group, with other top 10 finishes from Dave Inniss and Christophe Baudry.

From Galloway to Nannup. Our elite women are ready. 🌈

Tomorrow, the elite women race for the rainbow jersey in Nannup, Western Australia. 125.6km. 3,179m of climbing. No shortcuts. No soft edges. Just like Galloway.

In the field are riders who have raced our gravel roads. They took on Galloway's climbs and forest tracks. Now they line up for the biggest jersey in gravel.

Good luck to every one of you. We’ll be watching from the other side of the world.

The most beautiful week in Nannup on the other side of the rope. To have the worlds best gravel riders all in this tiny magical spec of a location. Everyone has come prepared and this event promises to reset the Gravel Worlds benchmark.

Best of luck to everyone and I can’t wait to call all the action with @mwkeenan in the studio and @david_mckenzie on the ground @sbssportau coverage starts Saturday 12:45pm pre-show On Demand. There’s a ginormous team behind this one!
