🥂💖5 Years of Blogging… Here’s my 400th Post!🥳🍾

📍Liverpool/London

🥂 What better way to celebrate than recapping some of the great food I’ve eaten and made over the last 5 years of @ellen_eats_out.

🤩 I started my blog as a way to help me pick what restaurant I should go to when I was hungry, and because people on my normal Insta were sick of me “always eating out at restaurants”. Idk why they had to comment but haters will I guess 🤷‍♀️

💖 Starting this blog was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s taken me to some great restaurants, I’ve met some amazing friends through the page, and I’ve eaten some incredible food along the way.

💔 Lockdown 💔
After 2 weeks of starting a blog about eating out at restaurants, they all closed and that meant I had to get creative quick. Takeaways and home cooked recipes were the way forward and we were all in that together keeping each other sane.. the only exciting thing happening was people’s tea times!

🍫 Brownie Girl 🍫
The family bake off getting us through weeks of lockdown made me a renowned baker when I had to complete the alphabet bake off resulting in Viscount Brownies and Unicorn Cupcakes. I sold loads of brownies along the way and I’m grateful to all of you who ever bought a tray from me 💖

🥰 Life after Lockdown 🥰
Once I had gained quite a few followers, I got lucky enough to start getting invited to openings of new restaurants and trialling new menus in some of my favourite independent restaurants.
My favourite thing about the blog is sharing new local spots with you, so you know the best places to head to when you visit a city🫶

🏙️ London Life 🌃
Having the blog when I moved to London meant I instantly had a reason to explore different areas of the city. I’ve travelled far and wide to try out new cuisines such as Ethiopian and Sri Lankan, and I’ve found some great roast dinners here too.

🙌 I’m happy to share that I will be moving back to Liverpool in May after my stint in the big smoke. It’s time to go home and I’m so excited to see what new restaurants open in Liverpool, and to have my favourite restaurants on my doorstep again.🙌

💞💖Here’s to the next 5 years 🩷💕
