I filmed something on my favorite finds from @iltm_events Bahamas but for now here’s (some of) the fun, complete with doughnut glaze skin, Caribbean frizz, a spray tan that melted off in a rainstorm 😂and 7:30am meetings.

What a week celebrating our Special Summer Travel Edition of Bal Harbour magazine in the Hamptons. We started at the beautiful @thehedgeseasthampton with @sarahjwetenhall toasting our new partnership with the incomparable @elizabethsaltzman, and continued waterside at the stunning home of @cristinacuomo and her brilliant team @thepurist.
The best part of the week was the women around the tables: smart, strong, stylish, funny and endlessly inspiring. Old friends, new friends, lots of laughs, delicious eats, and that wonderful reminder that style is always more interesting when there’s substance behind it. (Shout out to you @laralucaslulu)

Behind the Mask.
400 people, eight sessions, all in SAMBA CITY, where the Rio Carnaval floats are built and stored.

Desperate for an iced coffee and a cold plunge; grateful for mini coconuts, good company, and dancing. @ellenexperience - my fellow dancing queen.

The idea: get to know humans/clients better. Emotional intelligence. Each mask reflected a country or destination that might be chosen for the person based on their answers.

Where was the last trip you took that you loved? Uganda, Morocco, Dorset, all for very different reasons.

What are your favorite things to do on holiday? I love my work so it is very often enmeshed but…WALK. Walk. Walk. Very long lunches that end at a confusing time (Is it dinner now?). Local shopping. Drinks with a view.

What is your next dream trip and why? New Zealand. Anywhere in Africa, always.

What do you love to do? Walk for 20-25k steps a day in any city. Read the British Sunday papers. All restaurants, from dumpling shops and taco stands to high-end, occasionally. Lie in any London park (Victoria, ideally), 21c, with friends/family.

I tell my daughter (age 7) about most of my bad decisions. It always turns into a great chat.

Now finding sand in my suitcase post-Rio, a remnant of a bad decision to “swim” in the crushing Ipanema Beach waves (why is no one swimming, we wondered), which left me battling back, then bruised and flattened in the sand, hair sand-encrusted, trying to shake seawater out of my eardrum, having also swallowed a gallon of salty water.

But as I told her…sometimes bad decisions are also good ones because I felt so alive crawling onto that beach finding those scrapes and welts.

So not on my phone, if you know what I mean.

Anyways, this white party was excellent @embarkbeyond - including football with local kids getting to play with a World Cup legend @adrianoimperador and honoring the dearest son (Chris, with the most extraordinary smile) of @janelcarnerotravel all day long.

The best company and a lovely walk back to the hotel after the sun set. #embarkimmersion

A few favorite pre- or surrounding conference Rio moments, including:

A high-velocity, death-adjacent motorbike down a mountain (the only way down) from a favela bar with too-sweet drinks BUT AN insane view.

SHOPPING. I wish I had planned one full day. Happy to send my full list if you want it.

Açaí bars>>>>gelato shops. With toppings.

Moody drink at @hotelemiliano rooftop - need to sweet talk your way in as it’s residents only. Lost shoe only to find it floating on opposite end of pool.

Honored to shine a light on The Lavender Hill Project — in collaboration with @ooresorts, @oocapetown, and @uthandosouthafrica — supporting @philisaabafazibethu, a safe haven for women, children, and the LGBTQIA+ community in Lavender Hills, a notoriously underserved area located in the townships outside Cape Town, South Africa.

A little over a year ago, we hosted a very special evening on the rooftop of Nine Orchard with One&Only Resorts, and pledged that 100% of the proceeds from that night would go towards bringing solar light to 2,000 families struggling with access to reliable electricity.

Today, we’re proud to share that those contributions will now impact more than 10,000 people over the next five years alone.

As part of the project, we commissioned a hand-painted mural by acclaimed South African street artist Ras Silas Motse — a radiant emblem of unity, resilience, and love. Etched within it are the names of those who made this project possible.

To everyone who joined us in bringing light, joy, and possibility to this extraordinary community — thank you.
