day 113 | finding ease in transition
I have been living back in C H I C A G O again for a little over 3 months. I never boarded my return flight back to DC on August 3rd. .
.
.
I needed a break. I needed my family. I needed my close friends. I need my grandmother. I needed my Moon.
.
.
.
I had been living in a depressive state for three months due to major transitions. I was seeking a ‘new something’, even if I didn’t know what it was. So instead of heading back to my second home, I stayed home to be in another space of healing and doing the work. .
.
.
I was fortunate enough to be received back home with open arms. My friends rushed to my aid. My mother was right next to me through tears and a small bout of ‘suffering’. The city was illuminated. I felt radiant and like this was the absolute correct choice for my life.
.
.
.
I went back to DC for a few days to gather some things and found myself coming back home to C H I C A G O with anxiety and a similar form of depression. I second guessed myself, over and over again. And to be totally transparent, I still have those moments. .
.
.
I said all that to say, transition is not easy. it may never be or it may be one day. I’m peeling back so many layers and I am smiling and crying through it. I ask Mother|Father Creator everyday to reveal to me why I am going through everything. I am patiently awaiting the answers still. But in that stillness, I enjoy the moments that I have been able to really be alive since being back in C H I C A G O, like this one in a shoot for @dcomposedchicago with @jonesn4asia. .
