‘feeding the dogs, moving away’ is out everywhere now!!!

It finally happened! we just met put out a full project. If you’ve been around and on the edge of your seat since Big Black Hole, thank you so much for believing in us and waiting for us. If you’re new here, I hope you stick along for the ride, because we’re just getting started. In the least amount of sappy words possible, it’s always and forever been a dream of both of ours to put out a project like this. It’s a huge honor that you guys are here to listen.

Thank you so much to the amazing musicians who made this EP possible. Our incredible mixing engineer/hype man @scoopsrecordsmusic, and the mastering genius @daughterboardaudio; the absolutely inimitable @ellispipermusic, whose string arrangements bring every song to life; the guitarist of all time @max_caine; our friends and co-writers @copelandjamesmusic and @rhelwegner.

I want to give a huge shoutout to my dear friend Julie Johnson for sharing her time, her backyard, her beautiful quilts, her creativity, and even her dog with us for these photos you see here. Julie, your love, kindness, and unending creative support means everything to us. We are both so lucky to have you in our lives.

Thank you also to my parents, who donated the shed in their backyard to our recording endeavors. I love you guys so much. Thanks for helping us follow our little creative hearts.

Upon recently becoming an Albany local, singer-songwriter Ellis Piper sat down with Justin Friello to discuss a pretty wide range of topics in their career — Laika the dog and Felicette the cat from the Soviet space program, who are also the subjects of Piper’s latest singles, social media strategies, musical inspirations, figuring it out live, and more. Head to our website to read the interview now.

Some journeys are remembered as milestones because history finds it easier to celebrate the achievement than reckon with the life inside the capsule.

Spooktober voting continues 'til halloween! 🎃🍂 If you haven't done so yet, check out Dead Air, our free game about communication, grief, and autumn radio towers and leave a rating - it would mean a lot!! No hdmi-to-rca video adapter required (though it is fun)

We'll also be pushing bugfixes for windows, mac, & browser throughout the month, so things are becoming ever more stable, which is always nice 📻

and yes that is the handmade backdrop set used for the game's backgrounds balanced behind the tv why do you ask
