what this week 💌🍸🛫

wheeeee such a fun week ahead!! i can’t wait to share all of my travel pics with yall <3 for now, here’s my week!!

reading: a discovery of witches! truthfully, i am loving this book, but its taking me forever! i’m unsure whether its the physical format of the book or if ive just been more busy, but i pick it up, read ≈30 pages, and have to stop for one reason or another 😂. truly trying to finish this before my trip thursday, but it’s looking more and more like i’m gonna shave to pack it HAHA.

listening: clairo, phoebe bridges, john mayer, nat king cole, the works!!! i would like to pick out an audiobook for my trip but i haven’t found one that piques my interest right now.

watching: nothing!!! nothing on youtube is speaking to me, and on netflix, im waiting to finish this book to watch a discovery of witches!! im very much a book before the movie type gal, so thats pushing me to read more of this book!

doing: thursday is my boyfriends birthday and we are flying to NYC to see hamilton!! we both love the original cast so when they announced leslie was coming back for 12 weeks and it fell on his bday, we had to splurge HAHA. in all seriousness we lucked out on tickets! i got them right when they announced it and they were so cheap!! after, we’re going to stay with my family in massachusetts and ill be there for a week <3. my fav time of year!! so many cozy things planned.

what are you doing this week??? 🥰 i tagged some friends but if you see this you are tagged!!

🎄📚 I was so excited when the lovely Laura over at @whiskers_andwords challenged me to create a Christmas tree stack! I picked colours to match our festive decor, and it turned out just as cosy as I imagined. I hope you like it!

Creating it was such a fun time, though I have to admit, I kept saying “sorry, sorry” to my books as I stacked them on top of each other 🤭📖 But it's totally worth it for the festive cheer! ✨

I've tagged some of my bookish buddies, no pressure but if anyone wants to join in please do tag me so I can see yours 🌲🦌

🎄✨ COME WITH ME ✨🎄
Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of attending a magical bookish @panmacmillan holiday party with @bookbreakuk at the beautiful @rarebirdsbooks in Edinburgh!

It was my very first bookish event, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. From Carol Ann’s hilarious quiz mastering and the warm welcome from Daisy and Emma to the cosy atmosphere, delicious wine, yummy snacks, and that stunning bookshop—it was a night to remember.

I was absolutely over the moon to meet @jeansthoughts while waiting in the queue! I’ve been following her for years, and she was every bit as lovely, bubbly, and full of life as she is in her videos. Such a joy to meet someone who inspires and brings so much positivity to the bookish community!

A huge thank you to my amazing quiz team @bookcred, @reading.with.emma, and @elmas.reads! It was so fun to meet you all and share an evening filled with bookish giggles and great company. We might not have won but I had the best time and truly hope we meet again soon!

Having only joined Bookstagram in February, I felt so grateful and thrilled to be invited to such a special event. Thank you so much to everyone for the generous goodies and proofs—I returned home to Newcastle in a blanket of snow, feeling like the happiest bookish girl ever.

Here’s to more incredible stories, wonderful people, and cosy moments like these. Thank you @bookbreakuk for organising an event outside of London, as a Northerner born and bred it was heartwarming and much appreciated you came all the way up the country for us. And many thanks @rarebirdsbooks for being great hosts, you have a very special shop indeed! 🥂📚

💭 Have you ever been to a bookish event? I'd love to hear about your experience! ✨

🧳 holiday packing 🧳

HELP !! Oliver is heading off to Gran Canaria next week for a well-overdue holiday, and needs to decide what books to take?? The plan for the week is to sit still and relax, so hopefully there’ll be a load of reading 🫶🏼🌊

The pile has been growing since booking the holiday, but now is crunch time, and I’m looking to take about 5/6 books. Which of these are must-takes??

Any help would be appreciated 🥹💗

HAD THE BEST TIME AT PICADOR SHOWCASE!
💙 This was the most fun night ever. I genuinely have still got imposter syndrome from it! I could not believe the amount of books that were there and so many proofs! Soooo many amazing authors.
💙 I so enjoyed hearing all the talented authors speak about their books. It was so interesting to hear how they came up with their stories/poems.
💙I feel so incredibly grateful to have been able attend this event! I so wish I get to attend more like this. I also loved meeting people who are just as in love with books as I am!
💙Thank you so so much @picadorbooks @panmacmillan @bookbreakuk #picadorshowcase
