Homage to the Rectangle Inspired by Josef Albers’ Homage to the Square, I’ll be leading a workshop at the Elmhurst Art Museum celebrating the familiar rectangular shape of the book cover. We’ll play with color, experiment with arrangement, and layering. Take a look through my collection of discarded book covers and find the perfect one that reflects your interest and personality. Here’s the challenge: use the whole cover in your design and create a composition within its rectangle. You’re welcome to make as many as you like—time and inspiration permitting! OPENING TODAY — Resisting the Long War: A Revolution of Values, the first show of the 2026 Veteran Art Triennial, is now open to the public at the Elmhurst Art Museum! An official Veteran Art Triennial reception for A Revolution of Values will be held on November 5 during the 2026 Veteran Art Triennial Summit. More details coming soon!
