A Collective Archive
12–15 June at Ugly Duck, London

A Collective Archive is a four-day programme of performance, gathering, conversation, and celebration, marking the final chapter of Ugly Duck as we’ve known it. For over thirteen years, Ugly Duck has existed as an evolving and porous space—a home for experimental practices, shared resistance, and community organising.

Programme highlights:
Thursday 12 June – Opening soirée with new works and performances by Biogal, Bold Melon Collective supported by Southwark pride artists
Friday 13 June – A dedicated performance night featuring Martin O’Brien and more.
Saturday 14 June – A full day of activity: archive collage workshop, panel talks, a live radio show broadcast from the space, followed by The Last Dance – a final celebration with Josh Quinton and Tribe Incorporated.
Sunday 15 June – A closing gathering with performances by Chloé Filani, Puer Deorum and Joy Kincaid.

This project is a celebration of what has been possible and what can be done again. We want to inspire others to carve out space in the cracks of capitalism, to build infrastructures of care, and to continue resisting erasure through art and community.

We are immensely proud of the work we’ve accomplished and deeply grateful to the artists, collaborators, funders, and audiences who have made Ugly Duck what it is. While our physical space is transient, the legacy of what we’ve built together will persist—in memories, in friendships, in future projects that are yet to come.

POSTPONED TO WEDNESDAY 2ND OCTOBER

TFS will be running on Wednesday 2nd of October from 2PM at Hackney City Farm. Weather providing 🤞we’ll be hosting from the garden again with private use of the strawbale room also available as a quiet space or the primary space if it rains 🐌💧

This month’s wonderful poster is provided by @elodiegatacre who has sculpted and then cast these pieces in plaster!!! Such a treat to have a sculptural poster 🌫️🤩🌫️ check out the rest of her work :)

Covid policy: We strongly encourage masking throughout TFS. Masking is mandatory when inside the Straw Bale room, we will be handing out FFP2s, running an air purifier and providing antigen tests, but we also encourage you to test before attending. The rest of the farm and cafe including the garden is shared with the public, so we can only ensure COVID mitigation for the Strawbale Room, but as always you are welcome to use the entire farm. We encourage all attendees to take covid precautions seriously in solidarity with the health of our hosts and any other visitors who may be vulnerable ❤️‍🔥

I was fortunate to play at @flowers.club__ event at the end of Pride Month, alongside many other talented artists.
