“How long have we been on this rock? Five weeks? Two days? Where are we? Help me to recollect…”

Our second look for this October’s costume series is from Robert Eggers’ genre-defying, mind-bending, bean-spilling folie à deux ‘The Lighthouse’ (2019).
Here we portray the mysterious ‘wickie’ Thomas Wake/Old and the Enchantment-of-the-Light itself, featuring some delightful cookies made by Elysia.
He might be nothing more than a crazy old lighthouse keeper, but for Neptune’s sake, just say you like his lobster.

“Should pale death, with treble dread,
make the ocean caves our bed,
God who hears the surges roll
deign to save our suppliant soul.”

🎃 Happy October, dearest friends and ghouls, and hello again to good ol’ Spooky Season! We made it! 👻

As y’all know, it’s always Halloween in our home, but this month is especially important to us because we get to share our Annual Costume Series with all of you!
Our Seventh year! How lucky we have been! 🕸️

Because this month has five Saturdays (culminating on Samhain proper), and we have 4 posts to share, today is a little taste of things to come… and some hints to ponder for the next few weeks 😉 but no spoilers!

We hope you enjoy the looks we have to share this month, and that you all have a safe and joyous October!

Love, your Faerie Goth Parents 🖤

From Texas days to New York City nights on and off the stage (& a weekend at Georgia!), this was a summer that will hold a special place in my heart.

Getting to bring Mac to life & tell the story of 42nd Street alongside a wonderful cast, crew, & production team made me grow as a performer and, most importantly, as a human being getting to know & love more brilliant people. If I didn’t get to tag you because of the 20 limit, thank you for changing my life for the better & for allowing me to hold space in yours. I am forever grateful to the loved ones, old & new, I got to spend time over the past few months. 🥹☝️⬆️💕

Cheers to Year 7 of teaching, year 5 of teaching theatre, year 2 of getting back into acting, and to the many more years of theatre & love to follow after 🎭❤️

Meet the talented cast of 42nd Street!

Packed with dazzling dance numbers, unforgettable songs, and nonstop showbiz sparkle, 42nd Street is a celebration of Broadway, Times Square, and the magic of chasing your dreams.

At the height of the Great Depression, small-town chorus girl Peggy Sawyer arrives in New York City and lands her first big break in the ensemble of a glamorous new Broadway production. But when the leading lady is injured just before opening night, Peggy may get the chance of a lifetime if she can rise to the occasion.

Featuring beloved classics like “Lullaby of Broadway,” “We’re In the Money,” “Shuffle Off to Buffalo,” and “Forty-Second Street,” this tap-filled spectacular is pure Broadway magic from curtain up to curtain call.

Directed by Dr. Kristen Rogers

Our nonprofit partner for 42nd Street is Friends of the Library - Georgetown, a nonprofit organization that has become the library’s most dependable benefactor by raising funds through a wide variety of programs.

42nd Street runs July 24-August 30 on the Historic Springer stage.
