2025 top bites!!!! 🍎🫒🧈🍧

January: my mom and dad took me and binh to get some bánh khói/bánh khoái the day we landed in Huế, it’s basically a bánh xèo but I personally think it’s the better twin, call me biased!
February: Tia & Alfie had us over and made us a beautiful plate of larb and loads of negronis and then we played bananagram all night
March: we booked a last minute table at Gorka’s last night of residency at Italo and I was so mesmerised by this fish and kiwi combo!!!
April: always a joy to order Yuki Bar’s signature glossy beautiful smooth perfect round boiled egg
April: adore these crab cups at Mambow, tasted just like chilli crab, and I LOVE chilli crab
May: treated ourselves to a glamourous afternoon snack at the Plimsoll
May: felt very nostalgic eating this avocado ice cream at Rambutan & Cousin’s day with Em Ơi
May: 10/10 bag o’ bánh tráng trộn (by Lai Rai) at the Baesianz fundraiser
May: had an outer body experience eating this monkfish dish at 64 Goodge Street
June: one of mine and the girls’ favourite post-Primavera activity is to spend the day in Sitges, roast on the beach and crawl to Pic Nic to eat fideuà
June: prawn lollipops at Lai Rai’s first month of existence!!!!
June: so mesmerised by this fairy-like potato dish at Cottage in the Wood (birthday lunch!)
June: when I’m craving canh chua Binh goes above & beyond for it!! Look at his beautiful cooking!!!
July: ice cream at the Rita’s & Eat Wasted event, I was a lil hungover and this sun-dried tomato caramel & cinnamon fried pasta topping brought me back
August: I cannot stress how perfect the madeleines at French House are, I might’ve levitated a bit when I bit into it
August: Binh & I started spending more time in Clapton since we were getting a flat there and started our obsession with going to Leo’s and getting their eggs & anchovy butter soldiers for brunch
October: dinner date at Daquise with Maddy & Binh omfg yes borscht
October: best glizzy of 2025 goes to the Castle Inn in Cardigan
November: hosted my very first hot pot, I’m now a real adult (we had so much bia Saigon & soju)
December: and the best meal to end the year is undoubtedly a meal at home

Join us on Sunday 4th May for a special transatlantic edition of Rambutan & Cousins! The incredible @tyna.hoang and Andrea Nguyen @apn_apn are flying over from New York for a Saigon spring evening at Rambutan. Their cooking collaboration @em_oi_em brings together their Vietnamese origins and American upbringing for a diaspora mash-up we’re so excited to bring to London for the first time.

They’ll be serving a delicious tasting menu (£50pp) with Sri Lankan accents - expect dishes like banh khot shrimp gundu dosa, bo la lot skewers with iraichi thool and banana leaf grilled fish.

Throw back to last summer when @tyna.hoang and @apn_apn of @em_oi_em brought Vân Vân to Greece for their popup 🥹. Their menu included Viet classics such as gỏi, sa tế, shaking beef, and savory sticky rice 🤤.
