🔥Let me help you out with getting stronger hip flexors. Here’s how 👇
.
📌 Save this post for essential tips on building stronger hip flexors!

🔥The hip flexors (including the psoas, iliacus, rectus femoris, pectineus, and sartorius) bring your legs and trunk together in a flexion movement. Here’s a breakdown and the biggest issues commonly seen:

✅THINGS TO KNOW:
1️⃣The hip flexors cross multiple joints. For example, the psoas is connected to the diaphragm through connective tissue, which affects breathing, posture, and stability.
.
2️⃣They attach through your pelvis and then finally attach to your femurs. One of the main hip flexors, the psoas is the only muscle to cross three zones (lumbar spine, pelvis, and hip). Its functional opposite is the QL, and flexes and extends the hip.

❌THE THREE BIGGEST PROBLEMS
1️⃣Too much sitting and your leg gets tight and weak, which means you’re vulnerable to injury because you are unstable and you can’t unleash the power.
.
2️⃣Weakness in the hip flexors (i.e. psoas) causes decreased ability to flex the hip joint, as well as difficulty bringing the trunk forward when preparing to rise up from a seated position or walk up an incline.
.
3️⃣If you are a runner, it can decrease your stride pattern. Hip flexor weakness also causes instability at the squat portion of many lifts or exercises, which can cause discomfort/pain.
.
🔥TAKE-HOME MESSAGE: Just because the hip flexors are tight, that doesn’t mean it needs to be stretched or worked deeply. If it is weak and tight, the worst thing you can do is to stretch it. A weak muscle does not like to be stretched. It will cause a stressor and the body will rebound by tightening it even more. When a muscle is weak, it protects itself by shortening. Therefore, it is crucial to first determine if the muscle is weak or strong before choosing a course of action.

Thank you ExPRO 2024 🔥 🧠

What an honour it was to present at @exprofitnessconference again! I thoroughly enjoy connecting with passionate and likeminded fitness professionals is no doubt one of the best parts of what we do at @jpshealth_fitness

Another superbly run event by @edgar.see , @euphoria_evolution and the @fitasia_official team!

And a big thank you to all of the attendees who dedicate their time to coming out to learn and invest in their craft.

I hope my talk, Stop Losing Clients, provided some useful insights and strategies that health and fitness professionals can implement to maximise retention rates, enhance the client experience, drive results and ultimately succeed in the industry.

It was great to meet some new faces and make new friends from all over the world. Looking forward to connecting and collaborating, and can’t wait to do it all over again next time.

💕Beautiful humans!

🏋🏼‍♀️You don’t need a fancy gym to workout! Even a small space can give you fitness benefits.

💫 Building physical strength is building soul strength. Difficult times are better navigated when you have 360 strength. (Speaking from personal experience.)

➡️Here is a sample workout I challenge you to try! Modify to suit your level. Let me know when you try it. (I had to stop myself from doing **all** the movements, I love strength/fitness so much!)

Tricep extensions, 3 sets x 15 reps
High rows, 3 sets x 15 reps
Deadlifts into clean & press, 3 sets x 5 deadlifts x 8 clean & press
Strict pull-ups 3 sets x 5 reps
Bicep (curls + hammer), 3 sets x 8 reps
Flys, 3 sets x 8 reps
Core, superman to downdog, plank, downdog

✅Having a pull-up bar in your home is a game changer. Hang from it, start to gain pull-up strength, get bands to help you! I also love having a bar with plates!

👏🏻Have you seen RFK Jr. workouts? His dedication to fitness, health, and wellbeing is inspiring!
● Try this workout, tag your friends, and enter to win a $25,000 custom home gym!

Loved this glow up on the gorgeous @emilieendurancerunner

We added pops of blonde for dimension and brightness. All pics taken same time from different angles, that’s what dimension is all about
