A couple weeks ago, a bunch of my blogger friends met up for a private Spinyasa event at @risefitnessstudio716 and let me tell ya- there was a lot of sweating, swearing, and smoothies! 🤣

I absolutely LOVE getting people together. One cool thing about this platform is building friendships and then finally meeting IRL- it’s like you’ve known each other for years. ❤️ Women-owned boss babes @tboutiquebuffalo , @lovescoutdesigns , @alphalitbuffalo and @jessinthekitchn were our amazing pop-ups for the event and we mingled, shopped, and swapped info.

Owner Ren of Rise got us sweaty on the bike then Nick tried to calm us down for yoga. 🤣 We all shopped the Rise floor filled with @lululemon, @aloyoga and @spanx after and handed out some giveaways.

Huge thank you to @miss.kay_xo for hosting along with me for @buffalovebloggers … @rengib for being open to this idea, @mrhorwood for dealing with all of us, Taylor of T-Boutique, Hannah of Love Scout Designs, Jess of Jess in the Kitchn, @jennasiwirski of @sephora.waldengalleria for our goodie bags, and Taylor of AlphaLit Buffalo for being part of this and spending time with us. ❤️ Excited for the next event!!!

I* came to weddings from photojournalism — and I was drawn to it only when I saw that people started to want real moments. Even with portraits, I knew right from the start that it wasn’t successful to me if the emotion wasn’t real. Wedding photos are meant to last forever, and while tricks are useful, we know that they come and go and can date images. Today’s shooting-through-objects can become tomorrow’s 1980s-superimposed-heads-in-a-wine-glass. But real moments between people, such as the emotion of a couple whose schedules meant they hadn’t seen each other for a month before the engagement shoot? That doesn’t age.

Unless you’ve seen this one, you might not know that it was from almost 12 years ago. The entire photography world has changed at least three or four times since then, but these moments are still true and fresh, and we hope the real moments we capture now stay that way for decades to come.

(Also, it’s fun to re-process old images with new tools we didn’t have at the time, from advanced split tone color grading to improving image quality with AI, by far the best use of AI in 2021 photo workflows.)

A picnic in the park is not a picnic at all without a beautiful flower wall created by Events by Design. We had so much fun with this pink hydrangea wall illuminated by the sunset! The photo ops were endless!

Posh Picnics Buffalo:

From the neatly pressed & knotted napkins, to the textured pillows, we were in awe of our Posh Picnic Event! Attention to detail is what we are all about and Posh Picnic Buffalo nailed it!

Setting the scene near the water allowed us to gather for a sunset dinner & some bubbly drinks!

Everything was truly perfect and the photo ops were endless! We would highly recommend having an event with Posh Picnics Buffalo

🎊How incredibly dreamy is this posh picnic by the water? Every aspect of this picnic was impressive and inspiring. From the decor to the food, from the champagne to the tranquil setting, every detail was just perfection!

🎊I had the most delightful evening spending time with a group of inspiring women from the Buffalo area. We all came together with a common goal in mind ~ to network and share ideas with local social media friends, IN PERSON!!! To actually meet and connect in person was truly surreal. Our group has some fabulous future events planned where we will highlight each others niche, as well as support local businesses.

Y’all last Thursday was a big leap for me! I attended an event without knowing a single person😅! Don’t get me wrong I was nervous, but it was INCREDIBLE! Surrounded by such amazing energy, great party decor & delicious food, I felt right at home! These girls were so inspiring and such a blast to be around. My favorite part was that we were all so different! There were food gurus, fashionists & home decor gals! It was nice to finally connect with social media friends IRL!
