commonwealths done, time for the real 74 offseason 🫵🫪

We came and we did what we needed to do, which is always to give my all. Coming into these comps fully prepared makes it super easy; if I already have my variables checked off, all that’s left is time and patience to eventually get the results we want.

As always @trained.bykyia made sure to put us in the best position within 6 weeks, and prep was smooth sailing.

Thanks to @johnnyngu_pl and the rest of the Team Canada staff for the smooth ride and ensuring I didn’t sleep through my meet lmao

Finally thanks to everyone who cheered and tuned throughout this entire year, from Nats all the way to international stage (twice!) Can’t wait to run it back but with a tan on next year

good way to end the comp season and next year will be even better 😌

it was an honour to represent my country for my first international powerlifting meet. i was so happy that prep this block finally moved very well. warmups were moving perfectly so we lasted second changed my opener to +5kg more than we planned (also yay red on platform). execution on platform was not my best as i have never jumped a command before but i’m happy that my thirds moved really well! unfortunately didn’t take 77.5kg for nats open qt, we will try it next time. although i was fighting for third, couldn’t get there, that means i’ll fight harder next time.

powerlifting has been such a huge part of my life and i’m so grateful for the community and people that come with it. moving my way up, step after step to get to where i am has been a great journey, seeing as my first ever meet was january 2025.

thank you to @canadapowerlifting @2026commonwealthpowerlifting for hosting, Tristan & @vipulsharma_wnbfpro for the coaching & nutrition, and @johnnyngu_pl and the team canada coaches for ensuring a smooth meet day (shoutout @_ykahlon03 for being my week 4’s buddy). thank you to those who tuned into the livestream to follow along, those who i met from other parts of canada and other countries, as well as those who have been following my journey since the beginning:)

Commonwealths! 🥇

Took gold with our opener at 217.5Kg, tried to shoot for a commonwealth record but the odds were not in our favour.

Overall we accomplished our mission but we need to lock in and focus up to really push for 230 which was today’s end goal, needless to say it’s going to be a highly technical training block coming up.

The best part of these meets will always be the amazing people that came out and the new friends we made, and i’m always so thankful for everyone’s spirit at these events.

The only word I have is wow.

My first international win and my first international Best Lifter award, all on my planned opening attempt for 3-Lift. 🥹

Standing on top of that podium meant more to me than I can put into words. It’s been over two years since I’ve been able to stand on an international podium, and now I’ve finally done it again—a weight class and an age class above. I’m shocked, I’m grateful, and I’m so so happy.

What made it even more special was doing it surrounded by so many people I love. My grandparents got to watch me compete internationally for the first time, alongside my parents and all of Riley’s incredible friends and family. Having that many people there cheering me on meant the absolute world to me. ❤️

And to know I had so much more left in the tank and still walked away with the win and Best Lifter makes me incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.

Thank you so much to every single person who supported me, whether you were there in person, watching the livestream, or cheering me on from afar. I felt all of it. ❤️

Chronic illness and injury have made this prep unpredictable in just about every way possible, but I can finally say: I did it.

And if there’s one thing I want you to take from my experience, it’s that one day, you can too.

Keep your head up high, my loves. You are worth it. You are deserving. And you are worth celebrating.

Keep being you. Keep showing up. Not only for your friends and family, but for that version of yourself stuck in a hospital bed wondering if you’ll ever get your chance.

One day, you will.

Keep fighting. ❤️

Life is lifing lately! ♥️ how has this only been less than a month?

I’m so proud of AllThrive, there’s been challenging days, days I’ve cried, questioned everything. But I freaking love it. I love being a little tired, pushing myself a little more than the week before, figuring out all the strategy, and sometimes even being backed into a corner!

This weekend was major! I’m thrilled to be apart of Evolves journey to our new location. I’ve been at the original for nearly the last 4 years, it was the only gym I wanted to work at when I went independent after working in corporate gyms for 2 years.

I’m very excited and grateful for the amazing community, both in the fitness and the entrepreneurial space. It’s where AllThrive got its start and the team is growing! Stay tuned, we got some changes coming and hopefully some other major announcements soon!
