REPOST: We are thrilled to announce Fifty-Foot Contemporary’s inaugural exhibition: Crooked, Winding, Lonesome, Dangerous, Leading to the Most Amazing View. This one day event will feature a combined reception and trail hike, and will take place on Saturday, October 24th from 1:30PM to 3:30PM. Please meet us at the Fifty-Foot Preserve trailhead (address is 954 Storrs Road, Mansfield, CT 06268 and parking is behind @mansfieldcthistory and the Old Town Hall). How do you make process visible? ILSSA Diagrams is an exhibition of diagrams of creative practices contributed by impractical laborers across the globe, on view one-weekend-only at @lookyheregreenfield in Greenfield, MA. The opening for this exhibiton, on Friday October 9 from 7–10pm, doubles as the pre-party for the 2026 Northampton Print & Book Fair, one of our most favorite fairs. Come hang out with @nohopbf exhibitors and organizers, bring zines to help pollinate the NPBF free zine rack, and grab NPBF merch featuring artwork by Looky Here’s own Hannah Brookman! Come early to diagram your own creative practice! ILSSA’s @emilylarned will be offering a free, drop-in diagramming workshop on Friday October 9 from 5:30–7pm at Looky Here, 28 Chapman St, Greenfield, MA. Be sure to visit the Northampton Print & Book Fair the next day on Saturday October 10 from 11–5 at 33 Hawley in downtown Northampton, and stop by the Impractical Labor / Alder & Frankia table! The ILSSA Diagrams exhibition will remain open for viewing on Saturday October 10 at Looky Here from 12–5pm. Announcing: RISO FUTURES riso print residency!!! RISO FUTURES is a production residency and exhibition program supporting a cohort of five artists to develop ambitious, experimental and collaborative new bodies of visual art using Risograph printing as a primary medium. Over a 15-week local residency period at Looky Here in Greenfield, Massachusetts, participating artists will engage in workshops with visiting artists while maintaining a sustained studio production, prioritizing technical experimentation, and community dialogue, culminating in a cohort-based exhibition and limited-edition publication to be distributed by Looky Here Press. Selected Artists will receive $1,000 stipend and over $4,500 value of included materials and education. Applications close August 31, 2026 at 5pm and selected artists will be announced by October 15th. APPLICATION LINKED IN BIO! Applicants do not need to have previous experience with Risograph Printing, but need to display an apparent and enthusiastic interest in this printing method. Resident artists will be selected for practices demonstrating conceptual ambition and readiness to expand and collaborate through intensive engagement with Risograph as a primary medium of focus. So excited to see the Aldrich’s inaugural decennial exhibition, “I Am What Is Around Me”. The show will return every 10 years and features artists living and working in Connecticut. @amy_smithstewart and @cmonachino did an incredible, thoughtful job of visiting artists across the state and choosing the 40 in the show.
