You can read my review of Under the Lemon Tree by @emmacowellauthor below. It was a corker! 😍

REVIEW
Kat is grieving the loss of her twin brother Nik when she finds out she has inherited a house on the Greek island of Agistri from an uncle she had never met. She decides to go and see what the house is like and take some time out when she literally bumps into a man at the airport and spills her drink over him (she is seriously clumsy!). He is quite rude to her and the more she tries to apologise, the angrier he gets.

The house needs a lot of work and so Kat gets stuck in, but it’s not long before she meets her neighbour, who turns out to be the rude passenger from the airport! but this time he seems to have mellowed and Kat cannot take her eyes off him!

As Kat sets to work on renovating the house, she is also getting to know her neighbour! but little does Kat know that the island also holds some family secrets that put her family dynamic in jeopardy.

I really loved this book. It had a great mixture of characters with Kate going through every emotion from grief to love to happiness, sometimes all on the same page! I thoroughly enjoy this author’s books.

Am currently sitting at Gatwick ready to fly to spend a few days with the fab @emmacowellauthor in Greece!! So excited. It’s just a quick visit so I’ll be back in time for the launch of The Last Christmas. This reel is all about one of my favourite places and it plays a starring role in The Last Christmas!! If you are ever in the Helford area it’s worth the detour to visit this gorgeous church. #awriters life Huge thanks to @chrisdgfenwick for filming

@publiva_kustannus

Vastaus on kyllä😅
@docendon_kirjat

Jorn Lier Horstin Wisting-sarja ei varmaan esittelyjä kaipaa? Loistavasti rakennettu päähenkilö on kantava voima osasta toiseen.

Onko sun listalla samoja kirjoja? Tai puuttuuko multa joku jota varauksetta suosittelisit?

PS.Tulossa myös kirjamessulippuarvontaa😉

This was the first read when I went back to Turkey a few weeks ago 🇹🇷😎 and you can read my review below of The Island love Song by @emmacowellauthor

REVIEW
Ella and Georgia are sisters, but complete opposites. Ella is carefree and travels the world as a photographer and Georgia is married with a daughter, Phoenix and pretends she has the perfect life, but they come together to take a trip back to the island of their birth, Hydra, which is a Greek island to scatter their late mother’s ashes.

Ella really doesn’t want to go back to the island as it holds too many sad memories, especially when she had her heart broken.

As you can imagine, things do not go to plan and Ella and Georgia have different ideas of what they want to do whilst they’re on the island and Georgia is worried that secrets from the past could come back to haunt her and her family.

This is such a lovely summer holiday read, with a few twists and turns along the way. I really love this author’s writing and this one is no exception.

🍊🌊 CAN A LOVE FROM THE PAST BRING HOPE FOR THE FUTURE? 🌊🍊

Beneath the Orange Blossom by @emmacowellauthor is a romance read that follows a widowed dressmaker called Ellen, who, with her best friend, returns to the hometown of her first love, where she confronts her past and learns how to live again 🇬🇷🍊

The story explores themes of lost love, second chances, and grief. Thank you to @avonbooksuk for sending me a finished copy. What’s your favourite romance trope in books? 🌊💖

One last summer book…and clinging onto hopes of another heatwave, shorts and sandals 😍

For anyone like me who isn’t completely ready to say goodbye to summer, here’s a mini book review of The Island Love Song. For all my Greek 🇬🇷 travels, I’ve yet to experience the mainland and any nearby islands such as Hydra. This is where the book is set and it doesn’t take long until you can picture yourself there, grilled meats cooking away, glasses of ouzo and watching the world by in that much envied Greek pace of life.

I naively thought given the title, that this was just a romance book, and to be honest I would have been happy with that. You don’t always want more than sheer escapism. However, this is romance, family drama, sibling rivalry and the magical draw of a Greek island calling your name all in one. I can’t believe I’ve never read any @emmacowellauthor books before, especially when her love for Greece rivals mine!

So if like me, you’re after one last summer fling with Greece 🇬🇷, give this a whirl.

Book Review!!!

I finally came around with my last summer romance read for this year I believe. Now I can focus more on my fall TBR!

Under The Lemon Tree by Emma Cowell is about a Greek Family who moved to London. The main character is a female named Kat or her full Greek name Katerína who deals with a lot of grief of her twin brother Nik. Like dealing with celebrating their 37 birthday by herself. Yet, during her birthday party she founds out that she inherited a house on the Greek Island of Agistri from an Uncle she didn’t know existed. When Kat decides to actually go visit the house, she unrolls all of the family secrets, finding herself, and fall in love again.

I would most definitely give this book a 5 out of 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book will most definitely be a perfect read during the summer, especially if you’re on a beach vacation. It’s cute, an easy read, and it’s the type of romance where the male main character is a bit grumpy and the female main character is “that girl” as soon as gets to Greece.

There are some trigger warnings though. The book does talk a bit about grief, death, drunk driving, greif, religion and homophobia. Therefore, if you’re easily trigged about these topics, then I wouldn’t suggest reading this book. It mainly talks about the death of the brother and dealing with grief. But at the same time, for me personally, I felt like talking about all these topics wasn’t over done to the point where it was exhausting to read, not a lot of trauma dumping or anything. It gotten its point across about falling in love and finding yourself. I would 💯 recommend this book to someone.

My current situation on the island of Agistri. Reading Under the Lemon Tree by Emma Cowell, set on the island of Agistri, it is the most perfect book to read. Started it on the ferry rider here. Thank you to Robin’s Nest Book Shoppe in DeKalb, Illinois USA for ordering this for me.
