POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last week I attended She Speaks.
It was an amazing event, where everybody had a story to tell.
The stories were very moving.
They make us think.
They help us find the answer within ourselves. Our own answer.
Some people are still searching, and others have found it. Are you still searching, or have you found yours? 👇

📣 TEDx NQ 2026 BEHIND THE SCENES DOCUMENTARY IS LIVE! 📣

Go behind the scenes with the TEDxNorthernQuarter organisers @simran_whitham and @andycoleynlp as the team and speakers prepare for their moment on the red dot on the 11th September 2026.

The full documentary is now live on our official YouTube above 👆

The documentary starts off on the day before at @hotelfootballuk, when the 16 speakers arrive for their final live rehearsals and the chance to meet their speaker coaches (who they're been working with now for 8 months) in person! The rehearsals were followed by our wonderful speaker dinner, with the Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester, Kate Green hand out certificates to the speakers.

There was also a quick excursion to see the massive sign that @feelgoodaimie had arranged to get displayed around the corner from Old Trafford football club... even if the tech had a blip there!

Then onto the day itself, when the speakers finally arrive at Stoller Hall, in the heart of the Northern Quarter of Manchester. The team have been busy setting up from 7am, ready to kick off the event at 10am sharp.

@mattyfwhite our amazing MC introduced everyone onto the stage and the speakers came out in 3 blocks, with @voices_beyond, our amazing choir forming the lunchtime entertainment.

All of the speakers did amazingly well (you can see their talks in the 2026 playlist) and all richly deserved to grace that red dot.

We closed the event with a social gathering at the local @hinterland.bar where the speakers and team could get together and celebrate another amazing TEDx event.

Want to apply to speak in 2027? Apply now on our website.

“You deserve to be here.”

“You’ve got this.”

“I am so freaking proud of you.”

The TEDx stage 🔴 might belong to the speaker for those 10-15 minutes.

But getting them there takes a team.

The day before TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026, our speakers came together for their final rehearsals - supported by the brilliant speaker coaches who had been working alongside them for months.

The feedback.
The reassurance.
The last-minute adjustments.
And sometimes simply reminding someone that they absolutely deserve to be standing on that red dot 🔴.

A huge thank you to our 2026 speaker coaches:

On Monday at 12:15pm, we’re releasing our full TEDxNorthernQuarter 2026 behind-the-scenes film on YouTube.

For the first time, you’ll get to see a little more of what happens before the lights go up, the auditorium fills and somebody steps onto that red dot.

❤️ This is the bit the audience normally never gets to see and we wanted to whet your appetite with this little taster.

Follow us to find out when it goes live and where.

🎤 On Thursday I stepped on stage for She Speaks Live and started a conversation I’ve been wanting to have for a while:

❓What’s the cost of constantly trying to prove yourself?

What if there is a part of you secretly making you feel more stress and overwhelm, and less confident?

I call them:

💃🏽 The Hidden Players:

These are 4 key Patterns I have sen over and over again in creative women who are ambitious (like me) but instead of boring and dry traits like saying “ your inner perfectionist”

It’s so much more fun to think of them as Players, hiding behind the scenes, trying to get attention and run your show 🎪

They started off as helpful, but now they want more time, more attention, and you might be inadvertently giving it to them.

Deep down, these characters are 4 different ways of responding to one deeply familiar feeling:

I’m not good enough 😣 ( I don’t know a single Creative women who doest battle with this at one time or another)

👉🏼 And from the amount of women who came to speak to me at the event, I know the talk resonated.

I’ll share more this coming week, but for now I want to leave you with this:

Success as a Creative woman who leads is about expressing more of who you really are, becoming more fully yourself, from a place of Power rooted in Peace.

Not endlessly trying to prove you’re enough ❌

That’s why this conversation matters so much to me, because I spent years trying to prove I was enough, that I deserved the opportunities I got.

And in all those years, I rarely believed it😞

So sharing this message from the stage felt like the beginning of a much bigger conversation.

It was a beautifully curated day by @emmajgaskin and the team did an incredible job of platforming diverse wines voices, from different backgrounds, ages, countries and experiences,

Showcasing the power of speaking and sharing your story

📌 If you’re curious about the idea of the Hidden players, I made a fun 2 minute Quiz for you.

👉🏼 Just comment QUIZ and I’ll pop the link in your DM’s (well, the automation will 😉)

Have a great weeend, more on this next week!

Love,
Tahira

On Thursday I got to speak on the panel at She Speaks . @emmajgaskin event and it was absolutely amazing.

You may not know this about me, but speaking has always been my biggest insecurity. Yes even when you are very confident you have some insecurities.

The first time I spoke on stage was at my own event in June this year, and Thursday was my second time.
Both times, I was absolutely petrified.

But it also lit a little fire in me, which I no longer can ignore.

As we're moving towards closing 2026 and thinking about what 2027 will look like I am making a bold decision! And I am sharing this here for accountability.

2027 will be the year of stages for me 🔥👀
Because I have so much to say, share and value to bring.

It would be selfish to keep this all to myself.
So watch out 😜

For those of you who are standing on a cliff edge of something …. Let that be your permission slip.
Go and jump right in!!! You will be absolutely amazed when you find out what’s waiting for you. 🔥💋👀

Third event of October and I think this was the most insightful and thought provoking for me.

Emma Gaskin curated the agenda so there were a variety of formats for the talks/workshops and the venue was Devine, food plentiful and the laughter was loud!

This room was full of mostly new women for me which just reminded me that us women founders are bloody everywhere doing incredible things.

Take away?
Lots!
One for me was where have I signed a Voice Contract ? (Think Ariel signing her voice over to Ursula the witch). So yes. I will be speaking more.

A woman I admire told me last week that I should be swimming in the channel instead I am dipping my toe in the frigging paddling pool - so time to dive in.

Where are you playing around the edges of the paddling pool and not sharing your voice?

💭 What’s On Your Mnd | Ep. 70: Putting Life in Perspective 🧠 feat @emmajgaskin

We caught up with @emmajgaskin , a speech therapist with 10 years of experience helping people reclaim their voice and also supporting this years @tedxnorthernquarter speakers with their talks.

When asked what’s on her mind, Emma opened up about her mum recently going through brain surgery. The experience put life in perspective and left her asking what’s really stopping us from chasing our dreams and goals.

Emma also offers advice for those looking to open up more about any struggles behind success : share your story from a scar, not an open wound, so you can process things in a healthier way.

We thank Emma, for sharing your story on What’s On Your Mind. 🙏🏾

She Speaks - LET’S GO

I’m on the train down to Bournemouth for Emma Gaskin’s She Speaks Event.

Emma has been a 1:1 client since May and I couldn’t.be.prouder.

When we started working together Emma said she wanted to go BIG. We met in London for her VIP day and took her business Luxe: Luxe positioning, Luxe Offers & Luxe Sales System.

Emma had a good business, we tweaked the foundations to make it fly ✈️

Now we’re one day away from her SECOND sold out event, She Speaks.

Since May, Emma has celebrated:

✨Her highest cash months in business consistently
✨Selling out 3/3 of her offers: two events and a group
✨Now she’s hosting a 50 person event at a luxe hotel

Emma I’m SO proud and can’t wait to see you in action tomorrow. Show everyone what you’ve got 🔥🎤

I’ll also be taking the stage to talk all about signing high ticket clients from speaking… so here’s a trip for memory lane at the events I’ve spoken in the last year.

Who’s going to She Speaks tomorrow? ⬇️⬇️

📣 It’s not about you! 📣

Whether you’re guesting on a podcast, speaking on stage, running a webinar or sitting in a client meeting, the real question isn’t “what do I want to say?” It’s “what does my audience need to hear?”

Ever sat through a talk and thought, “They talked a lot and said nothing to me”? Don’t be that speaker.

Before your next episode or talk, ask yourself: what will they take away? Build everything around that answer.
Deliver value first, always.

What’s the best talk you’ve ever sat through, and what made it land? 👇

🔥 EMBER DAY RETREAT - SAT 21ST NOVEMBER

9AM-6PM | DAY SPOTS NOW OPEN

We’ve been incredibly intentional with our second retreat @chloe_flowled

We want fewer women, but deeper connection.

Women who genuinely see days like this as an investment in themselves - not just a luxury.

✨Yes, there’ll be moments of calm.
✨Yes, there’ll be space to let go, reset and feel renewed.
✨And yes… there’ll be bloody incredible food.

But more than anything, we want women who are pining for connection.

Women who aren’t willing to accept that the juggle, the ancient work ethic, the expectations and that constant doing is simply how life has to be.

We want women who want to pause, reconnect with themselves and remember what it feels like to actually feel like themselves again.

BUT we know that committing to a whole weekend isn’t always possible. As two mums, we GET IT.

So we’re SO excited to announce our EMBER DAY SPOTS 🧡

Come for the full day and experience the magic…

Our incredible speakers, nourishing food, workshops, connection, nervous system reset and space to breathe..

While still getting home to your babies, fitting in the Christmas shopping or juggling whatever else life has thrown your way.

Because let’s face it… women are bloody brilliant at doing all it all 😂

So bring your friend.
Your sister.
Your mum.
Your work bestie.

The woman who’s running on empty.

Bring someone you know needs this too.

Come as you are.

Leave lighter, clearer and more like YOU 🧡
