I had such an amazing time being part of Say Yes to FCS & FCCLA College Day at JMU! It was so exciting to connect with students, lead alongside the Virginia FCCLA State Officers, and lead an activity.

Days like this are such a great reminder of the opportunities FCCLA provides to learn, lead, and explore what the future can hold. I’m so grateful I got to be part of a day filled with leadership, connection, and exciting possibilities! Thank you, JMU and Virginia FCCLA, for an unforgettable College Day! ❤️

When I look back on NLC this year there is little I would change. While yes, not everything was perfect, that was countered by the fact that I was with my favorite people doing my favorite thing at my favorite conference in a beautiful city!! I got to celebrate America's 250th at the CAPITOL OF THE US!!
I loved NLC, and I miss it already! I had so much support throughout the week, especially from my advisor, Mrs. Spencer. She is my Ms. Honey 🫰. The OK SEC are some of my closest friends and I loved getting to see them for a whole week! Speaking of friends: Marley, Harper, and Kendal, who are my best friends behind the blazer got the opportunity to come too, and I am endlessly grateful.
What's funny to me is that when you come home from a week long conference like this the first thing people ask is "Did you have fun?". This question cracks me up because of COURSE I had fun, that's not the question you should be asking. NLC is a transformational conference that I recommend to EVERYONE. I loved it, I love it here, and I can't wait for the rest of this year.

NLC ‘26 in D.C. was nothing short of amazing!! I had the privilege of attending as the Alabama 1st VP and serving our organization as a nominating committee member and voting delegate! Every memory and opportunity to network will stick with me forever! I ❤️ my FCCLA family!

Only 10 days until FCCLA National Leadership Conference 2025!

As we get closer to an unforgettable week in Washington, D.C., I wanted to reflect on something that makes FCCLA so special.

FCCLA is about so much more than competitions and conferences. It’s about the skills you build, the people you meet, and the opportunities that shape who you become.

Over the next few slides, members are sharing 10 things they’ve gained from FCCLA—from leadership and public speaking to friendships, networking, advocacy, and finding a sense of purpose. Every member’s journey is unique, but each story shows the lasting impact this organization can have.

Whether you’re attending your first NLC or your last, take a moment to reflect on what FCCLA has given you.

See you in Washington, D.C.!

Virginia FCCLA,

Since SLRC, I have found myself reminiscing deeply on all that I have learned and experienced throughout my time as a state officer. Although it is incredibly sad that my term has come to an end, the joy, growth, and memories I have gained are truly immeasurable and will remain with me for a lifetime.

To my State Officer Team: Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and becoming some of the most extraordinary individuals I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Each of you has impacted me in ways I cannot fully put into words, helping me discover not only my purpose within FCCLA, but also a deeper understanding of myself. I love you all more than I can express, and I will forever carry your influence and our memories close to my heart.

To Virginia FCCLA: Thank you for entrusting me with the honor of serving as your Vice President of Parliamentary Law. This role has shaped me, challenged me, and inspired me beyond measure. It is an experience I will never take for granted, and I will remain endlessly grateful for every opportunity, every connection, and every moment that has defined this journey.

Signing off with immense gratitude and a full heart,
Payton Bellamy
2025–2026 Vice President of Parliamentary Law

Virginia FCCLA, thank you for everything. Thank you for your support of me throughout all my years as a member and a state officer, and thank you for supporting me throughout my National Officer term. I want to thank my parents, the rest of my family, state staff, and everyone from all of my past SEC’s for always being there for me and supporting me. While this might have been my last SLRC as a member, I look forward to coming back as an alumni to continue supporting FCCLA. Now, I’m getting ready for the 2026 National Leadership Conference in Washington DC, July 6th-10th. I can’t wait to see everyone there! #fccla #vafccla #slrc26
