We had a fantastic time at the recent ‘Engineering the Good Life Showcase’ event hosted by the College of Engineering!

It was great to see four of our Durham School faculty members sharing the exciting work they’re doing. We also enjoyed learning about the innovative research and projects happening across other departments in the College. There’s so much great work happening across #NebraskaEngineering!

A special shoutout to @emmelinelemos, @kreilingbrandon, @milaad.roohi, and @vishnureddi for representing the Durham School and sharing their work! 👏

What a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and celebrate the amazing work happening across the College! 🤗

❤️ Last Wednesday, our first-year women in Construction were blindfolded, pulled out of class, and led outside Kiewit Hall… where a surprise breakfast was waiting for them with some amazing gifts! 🏗️🥞

Our senior women and Prof. @emmelinelemos planned it as a simple way to welcome the freshmen and spend some time with them.

And honestly, that was the best part: watching our seniors make sure the women coming behind them know people here are cheering them on.🎉

Special shoutout to our senior women for making it happen, to faculty members @barrows_matthew and Tony Roebuck for joining in on this amazing surprise, and to Emmeline for spearheading the surprise! 👏❤️

Keep that flame going, ladies! 🔥👷‍♀️
