✨ Challenge: Tell a story or write a poem using book titles. #makeastoryusingyourtitles

🌊 Mine:

Anything is possible
The care and feeding of ravenously hungry girls
on such a full sea.
Her fearful symmetry
running with scissors.
Sorry to disrupt the peace.
Good morning, midnight. 🌙

✍🏻 Authors: Elizabeth Strout, Anissa Gray, Chang-Rae Lee, Audrey Niffenegger, Augusten Burroughs, Patty Yumi Cottrell, and Jean Rhys.

That was much harder than it looked! Few book titles start with prepositions. Anyway, this is my feeble attempt at a poem. I took lots of poetry classes & workshops in undergrad & graduate school, but I don’t think I ever wrote anything that qualified as great. 🤣

Thanks to my book buddy @pageus_of_books for bringing this challenge to my attention 💕

If I tagged you, give it a try! 🤩 This one is fun, and you can think outside the box. Tag me back if you attempt it…

QOTD: Doing anything special over this long weekend? If not, whatcha reading? 📚

Special 300th post!
Last night offered a huge bright full Moon.
❤️ the golden clouds

How do you feel at night?
What do you tell the moon?

Haïku by Seifujo
Tout le monde dort
Rien entre
La lune et moi.
//
Everyone sleeps
Nothing between
The moon and me.

To the Moon [fragment] by Shelley
Art thou pale for weariness
Of climbing Heaven, and gazing on the earth,
Wandering companionless
Among the stars that have a different birth,
And ever changing, like a joyless eye
That finds no object worth its constancy?

Jacques Prévert: La lune et la nuit
Cette nuit-là je regardais la lune
Oui j'étais à ma fenêtre
et je la regardais
et puis j'ai quitté ma fenêtre
je me suis déshabillée
je me suis couchée
Elle me regardait
elle brillait
elle souriait...
Alors je me suis endormie
et quand je me suis réveillée c'était déjà le lendemain matin et... il y avait seulement le soleil au-dessus des maisons.
//
The moon and the night
That night I watched the moon
Yes I was at my window
and I looked at her
and then I left my window
I undressed
I went to bed
then the room
became very bright
the moon had entered
Yes I had left the window
open
and the moon had entered
She was there that night in my bedroom
and she was shining
I could have talked to her
I could have touched her
But I did nothing
I only watched her
she seemed calm and happy
I wanted to caress her
but I didn't know how to do
And I stayed there ... without moving
She was looking at me
she was shining
she was smiling...
So I fell asleep
and when I woke up
it was already the next morning and ... there was only the sun above the houses.

If you do not understand read every post from bottom up (but only if you want)! This is the context post for the group of “special people” living in the U.K., it might not be as good as the other ones but still enjoy. Thank you all so much for everything!!!! 😀

DISCLAIMER!!! It says the regions of Elu above the four regions, and that is not the name of the regions, I have greatly changed it because I have had this map for several months!!! If you don’t understand read every post (if you want!) from bottom up! This is the visual post for the introduction to my special world! Now, within the process some of the names might change, but this is what I have for you now! Thank you all so much for everything, and don’t forget to like and follow!!! #writer#writers#writing#write#author#authors#bookstagram#read#reading#readers#fantasy#bookseries#books#harrypotter

Happy Monday, you darlingest creativest peoplest!!

I was tagged by the lovely @sjpratt_writer to participate in the delightful #authormugshotchallenge! Thanks, girl!

I love big mugs and I cannot lie! I use them for tea and for lemon-ginger concoctions. And I looove the deep blue inside of this mug. Blue soothes me. And then it’s all warm and happy on the outside!

I also enjoy that it’s handcrafted and comes all the way from Italy. Italy makes me all fuzzy inside. Some of my best memories have been made there!

Now, to participate in the challenge: find a favourite mug, take a selfie and post it! Please make sure to follow our hosts: @sjpratt_writer and @amcwriter and they’ll be featuring as many mugshots as they can in their stories. 🙌🏻

Looking forward to seeing your mugshots! Anyone else have a bit of a mug-addiction?
