this explains a LOT about female friendship ↓

Women do not actually bond over having everything in common.

We bond when the performance stops.

When somebody says the thing everyone else was too scared to say.

When one woman gets honest and suddenly the whole room exhales.

When nobody is competing.
Nobody is trying to look cooler.
Nobody is pretending their life is perfect.

That is when women get close & build an authentic trust 🪢

And I think that is why some friendships can feel deeper after one weekend than others do after years.

It is not the amount of time.

It is how real you were allowed to be in it. #bigfacts ✨

And honestly, I think this is part of what God intended community to feel like.

Not impressive. KNOWN.

That is the kind of friendship I want more women to experience. That’s why @camp4jesus exists 🏕️🙏

Girl 2 girl…I used to rush figuring out what life was supposed to be. Used to stress myself out over “figuring out what to do next.” Used to have a new idea of how i would finally “find my thing.”

Then I learned something that seemed so simple but it became the most profound foundation for how I live.

When I’m constantly chasing after my plans, I have no time for Gods plans.

It wasn’t until I did what felt fun, exciting, and what naturally lit me up that I journeyed down the path I was meant to. I always thought I had to follow something normal and something that was a blueprint of everyone else in order to be successful. But that was so wrong.

It was saying yes to the things that felt too good to be true.

Like what do you mean my most life changing, eye opening experiences also happen to be fun magical trips where I travel to meet other women at various parts of the world??

You’re telling me the more I do something I love, the closer I get to God?

Idk why as women we feel guilty to do the things that light us up. We tend to operate in a suffer & victim mindset. We trap ourselves. We make excuses, we put everyone else in front of us.

Life just has looked so much different since I started investing in myself and what feels right. It’s that simple. It’s letting go of what you think you should be doing and getting a lot more curious about what’s waiting when you prioritize joy & Jesus.

Something I learned while creating @camp4jesus is that after all those years praying and asking God what my purpose was, he was actually preparing me for HIS purpose.
