This might shock you...

1. A friend to come with - you might arrive solo, but you’ll be part of our community in no time.
2. To look a certain way - every body belongs on our dancefloor 🤍
3. Dance experience - everyone starts somewhere, and we welcome all levels.
4. To justify taking time for yourself - you deserve that time, simply because you do.
5. To own expensive dance gear - wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
6. Perfect coordination - we’re here to learn, move and have fun, not get every step right.
7. Confidence - come exactly as you are and we will build it as you go.

Want proof? Book your class and we’ll show you ❤️‍🔥

One of my favourite communities🫶🏼💜

I’m still thinking about this one. There’s just something so special about walking into a room, sharing a piece of what you love, and connecting with women who just GET IT.

Thank you @empowerdance_ for having me. I loved every second 🤗

Hope to see you again soon 🦋💜

❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
This was such a healing experience... This was my third time taking @melissaabee class, and she chose me to perform her choreography at the end in a smaller group. The little girl in me thought 'who... Me?' 🥹🥹🥹
Throughout the class, I felt lost in the choreography & did not feel I was dancing very well. To be seen by Melissa in a room full of dancers is a feeling I cannot describe😭

Going through pregnancy & matrescence, part of me continues to hold self-doubt and does not feel as confident in my postpartum body. I went to the convention on my own which I found daunting. I am a soft girlie who likes to hang out at the back. Melissa, you seeing me on the dance floor is a core memory I will cherish forever, because you are my inspiration, and you have lifted my confidence in a way that I cannot describe🥹 So thank you for this moment, for seeing me, hearing me & the beautiful warm hugs🫂

I LOVE that you always talk about & model authenticity, and you give all of us dancers the permission & courage to be authentic, to tell our own stories & to make our own choices. I LOVE that you find beauty in imperfections, thank you for being you Melissa💖 I am feeling like a baddie mamma right now🧸🪄

Thank you @thepowerofheels for this absolutely MAGICAL event. The energy was one of warmth, love, genuineness, support, empowerment, connection & celebration. Thank you @empowerwithsimone for recording this cheeky video and for being the BEST hype girlie & cheerleader🥹 you, @lifeeeofholly & @ellinmotion made me feel so welcome and safe. I adore & love you all🫂💖

@powerpumpsdance told me that it is so inspiring to see me still connected to my passion, even after becoming a mother. This made me feel emotional because when you do anything for yourself, the mum guilt is real🫠 I fed my baby in between classes, & then put my heels back on. I am so proud of myself for doing both🙏🏽

A little throwback to my 50th birthday week ✨🎉

A warrior flow taking a gaze back — honouring the lessons, the growth, the twists and turns that have shaped me along the way.

Down to the earth, giving thanks to Mother Earth for holding us through it all.

And then looking up… to the sky, the heavens, the cosmos, and the vastness of it all. ✨

And then a little glance towards the future ✨

Hand to front & back of the heart & throwing out love to the world for all the magic still to come. 🦋

And whatever the age…
I’ll always be a warrior girl at heart. 🤍
(and a girl who carries a 🍉😆)
