#selfsufficiency isn’t just limited to the plant that shall not be named, the #greenHouseofLove provide many fruits of my labour and is so rewarding.
Particularly when it gets to this time of the year and it’s #tomatoes 🍅 with every meal!

This is my first year growing olives and we shall see if I get get it to fruit@next year again!

All of these plants I know exactly what they have been exposed to how they were grown. The freshness at the point of harvest will also increase there nutritional value as opposed to something that has travelled several hundred miles in a sweaty lorry to get to my plate!

We all like convenance and mass produced produce is something that is part of everyday life now, but I want something different. I want fresh produce that I have cared for and grown myself, and be able to share this with my friends and family.

5 years ago I had a very different idea about what I would be doing now, but I feel more free now, standing up for what I truly believe in fighting for. What I should have been fighting for from the start (I was, I just didn’t dare say it out loud because I thought everyone would think I was stupid or wouldn’t talk to me and shut the door in my face)
I believed that prescription plant based medicine was the way forward.
But a lot has happened since then, with the loss of my inspiration, George going on harder on me and becoming a grandparent has shaped me harder than anything I could have predicted.
I don’t know about anyone else but the last couple of weeks have been intense both physical and emotionally, with two eclipse, one of the sun and the other of the Moon, which occurred on Friday.

I now feel clarity of what I need to do and what my mission is and that is to get self sufficiency on the table in this country and I need your help.

I am not ashamed to tell you I am scared, and keep doubting my self, but
Please help me produce the economic analysis of patient self-sufficiency by filling in the questionnaire to help produce the data that I can present. The link is in my bio and please share . Thank you to all those who have supported this and filled in the questionnaire but I still need more number as we are just over the 100 mark, which is great, but I need 500 responses to make the data truly viable.

Back by popular demand!
This weeks #moleculeoftheweek is CBDA, aka Cannabidiolic acid the phytocannabinoid which is often forgotten about, though been under surveillance for some time. Classed as Non psychoactive, at one point she was believe to not even to be pharmacologically active, didn’t she prove them all wrong.

She could be described as the older less stable, clingy sister of good old Golden girl CBD, known to cure everything. CBDA does have her own little traits which makes her extra special and a thousand times stronger at binding to serotonin receptors than her know it all sister. This makes CBDA excellent as an anti nausea and anti anxiety treatment. Not only that, being a similar shape too other non steroidal anti inflammatories (NSAIDs), CBDA behaves as an anti inflammatory too.

Coming in at 358g/mol, CBDA has a little more meat on her than her little sister, as she has yet to be decarboxylated. This however will slowly occur at room temperature, but get her all hot under the collar, she soon becomes unstable.

Due too her nature, therapeutic applications are more difficult therefore the highest concentration of CBDA and easiest to access are in raw juiced leaves. However the god father of cannabinoids Dr Raphael Mechoulam recently spoke at a conference in 2019 about how they had managed to stabilise her by converting her into a methyl Ester derivative. Allowing more research to be performed on her therapeutic properties.

I think George might fancy her as he really does calm down when she is around!

When cannabis was illegal, women were prosecuted for it.

Now that it’s legal, they’re being asked to wait their turn.

Women held 36% of executive positions in cannabis in 2015. Today that number sits around 22%. Less than 5% of cannabis investment firm executives are women — and the funding gap follows directly from that.

The market hasn’t fixed this. Organizations like @womengrowinc and EmpowHer Cannabis Society are doing the work the market won’t.

Minnesota has structural tools. The question is who builds the organizing layer that puts them to work.
