'K11'

A Short film by Ethan Manley
Sound Design and Music by Emre Erkul @emre.freq

This was the final project for my first year at MMU. Students were asked to choose from a selection of four words for the basis of their story, mine being 'Phone.'

A phone box seemed like a good setting. They are simultaneously familiar and out of place in the modern world. Looking for visual references led me to several articles and blogs discussing Britain's dwindling phone boxes, so this thought must occur to a lot of people.

Influences include Jamie Hewlett's illustrations and the films of David Lynch.

Thanks to Emre Erkul for creating the sound design for the film. His work won the film a 'Best Sound' award at the MMU animation screening.
