Yesterday, we celebrated my mom’s 90th birthday with family and a small circle of her closest friends. Her actual birthday isn’t until June 24th, but we wanted to surprise her by bringing family in from out of state.

It was a simple gathering filled with love, laughter, and so many special memories. Seeing everyone together reminded her just how loved she is, and it reminded us how fortunate we are to still have her with us.

She may not be the energetic, outgoing woman she once was, but one thing has never changed—her love for her family. It’s always been the center of who she is.

Happy early 90th Birthday, Mom. We love you more than words can say.

Happy 1st Heavenly Birthday to my Dear mother inlaw Pauline. I hope someone made you a big corn beef n cabbage dinner and that you had a Saint Joseph Pastry as your birthday cake. I loved doing this yearly tradition for you, since you never made me forget you were born sandwiched between the 2 saints. Doing it without you this year was hard, but you were in our hearts. Oh n by the way, I ate your pastry this year. 😊😘miss you💕💕

This week, we said goodbye to my Grandma, Pauline Shesh. She lived an incredible 95 years with a quiet, happy spirit—and always with a smile. When my mom died, she stepped in to care for us and helped raise us. She never judged (even when I made some questionable decisions) and she was always there for us.

I’ll remember her laugh, her amazing pancakes with the crispy edges, the Christmas cookies we still make every year, the traditions she instilled in our family, and how much she loved being a great-grandmother — more than anything else in the world.

She is deeply loved by her family. She will be missed.
