🌼🕊️🤍LOVE IS ALIVE!!!!!🤍🕊️🌼

Jordan + Mitch’s day was TRULY one of the most joyous, celebratory days ever. From their families and community showing up to make this day happen, to the karaoke on the dance floor to round out the night, their wedding was covered with love, happiness and overwhelming joy. It was my honor to capture the day!!!🥹

Ps — this might be my favorite photo I’ve ever taken(?!)

Holy smokes - I did it.

First ever Iron Man 70.3 in the books.

6 months of training.

44 hours spent running 270.3 miles.
64 hours spent cycling 672 miles.
15 hours spent swimming 16 miles.

So, so many sacrifices made and so much discipline to be able to cross that finish line on Sunday.

Normally, I consider myself someone who is good with words, but I’m finding myself not having a lot of them, so I’ll hit the main points;

I am proud of myself. This race was hard. Working out for 7 hours straight is not for the faint of heart & overcoming fears is not light work.

I am beyond grateful for the community that supported me throughout the entire thing. I am deeply, deeply grateful for the friends that put in the miles with me; joining me for runs all through town, chatting about life & helping the training be less lonely.

I am grateful for my loved ones who showed up on race day; making the 6+ hour drive to Coeur d’Alene to cheer me on, encouraging me, screaming my name as they saw me zip by for 20 seconds at a time and holding the funniest & best signs out on the course.

I am grateful for an able body that carried me for 70.3 miles on Sunday, but also the nearly 1,000 miles of training.

And last but not least, the two kids that cheered me on during the race on the bike leg at mile 40. The mountainous bike course had little to no spectators on it. No drafting, which also means no talking to other riders. Just you & your thoughts for 56 miles.

At mile 40, two small kids and their parents were on the side of the mountain road. Parents back in their chairs, kids standing near the course. No music, no noise, just two kids saying,

“I’m proud of you!”

“You’re so strong!”

“You can do this!”

Something about that moment ripped me out of my race intensity and made my inner child palpable. It was as if my inner child was saying those things directly to me in that moment and it carried me for the rest of the race.

Thank you to all of you who supported me along the way; sent encouraging messages & videos, reassured me when I doubted myself, and joined me for all the miles.

Grateful to have crossed that finish line!
