My new song ‘Time’ and its music film are out now. Link in bio. The song was finished in summer 2021 and untouched since. As I was about to leave the city I was living in, I suddenly felt a deep melancholy and nostalgia, though little had happened there and I was often bored. It was a kind of melancholy rooted in ‘unlived lives’. So, I thought of the boy I used to hold hands with in high school, I thought of all those ‘could-have-beens’ that later became the lyrics. ‘Time’ is about the reluctance to accept such fates in linear time. The film took 2 years to make with very little money. I spent the entire 2025 learning and doing the VFX. Almost every scene was 3D VFX, not AI, and the few exceptions were story elements. ‘Time’ is about the clash between fear of death, unreachable queer desires, digital melancholy and nostalgia, and a scarily accelerating technological world. There’s so, so much to say about this project. The music and film lie at the core of who I am as an artist and a person. For now, I just invite you to watch and listen. Mixing fiction, documentary, animation, and essay, these films imagine queer stories rooted in ecologies, displacement, manifesto and hopes for the future. The program opens with “Scorpionikas – Counter-manifesto”, a cinematic resistance centering trans women and sex workers, weaving archival footage from a 1890s brothel with an anti-colonial, anti-patriarchal performance.  “Floraison” follows a journey toward community through ballroom culture, as its protagonist confronts their own denial and learns to accept the possibilities of collective belonging.“Eyes to See” takes on the lens of Khoe heritage, delving into how queerness is inherently woven into African cultural and spiritual practices. “Honey, My Love, So Sweet” turns to childhood, capturing vignettes from the life of a queer child growing up inside an old cinema in Manila, where the screen becomes a space for discovering the self. “Unbelong” reflects on the conditions of not belonging, moving from LGBT+ rights protests in the filmmaker’s hometown to relocation, displacement, and the experience of exile in another city. Goodbye SİNEMAplural 2025/26, hello 2026/27! Back in July, we came together to celebrate the conclusion of SİNEMAplural 2025/26, with the outgoing fellows presenting the projects they developed over the course of the fellowship. As the very first SİNEMAplural cohort, they shaped what the fellowship could become. We are deeply thankful for everything they brought to this first edition, their commitment and trust, and look forward to seeing how their practices continue to develop. At the same time, we welcomed the new SİNEMAplural 2026/27 fellows, marking the beginning of another year of collective learning, exchange and experimentation around plural approaches to film culture, mediation and education. For my whole life I felt like I could only see “good times” once I remembered them, always with a feeling of “saudade. Saudade is a very specific feeling that is a bit like longing and melancholy together but also belonging. Saudade to me is what you feel about someone who makes you feel home. I’m not a bad bunny fan but the “dtmf” is real, I should take more photos, there are so many people that I wanted to include here, and their presence amazes me so much that I never want to ruin it with photos, but then again it became saudade, saudade of pictures that I did not take. Everyone who knows me knows that I don’t believe in separation between me and my work, my private and public life, love and hate, fear and courage, art and science: They’re all two sides of the same thing to me. And it’s exactly there where I feel the most blessed: I get to work with people that make me feel home. I been getting to work with friends and people I look up to. Moving around this world still terrifies me but I been so happy every time I was on my way to you. Everyone who isn’t on these pics, my friends in Zurich, Vienna, Basel and most of all Berlin: Please let’s take more pics together. For the first time: Good times are here and I can see it. And just to let you know, I learned that them good times will never come, we have to create it by effort. So, if anybody isn’t able to make good times with me now, please let’s meet in the future, because for the first time, there will be no form of relationship that will have the permission to ruin the immense feeling of thankfulness that I feel.

Mixing fiction, documentary, animation, and essay film, these six works portray and imagine queer stories from Brazil, Switzerland-France, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Turkey. Picumã (Sladká Meduza), an urban western, follows Lua and Shaiene in their search for their friend Cleo, who has mysteriously disappeared. Working Class (Nadir Sönmez), a fictional manifesto, mocks the fetishization and romanticization of "the working class." XPOSED Audience Award winner Thunder Bird (Anonymous) combines archival footage with recent interviews to tell the story of a dance troupe that withstood military rule and stigmatization in Myanmar. XPOSED Lolly Award winner How A River Is Born (Luma Flôres) unfolds in a beautiful mountainous landscape, where Ayla embarks on a journey of discovery and liberation. A is for Andra (Charmaine Poh) follows a former MTV VJ, tracing their evolution from a rising star in Bandung to a non-binary transmasculine kindergarten teacher living in Berlin.
