Two labors.🤰🏽🤰🏽
Two births.👩🏽‍🍼👩🏽‍🍼
One body moving on faith, water, prayer, and purpose.

Yesterday I moved between two worlds of becoming…two mothers trusting me with their most vulnerable hours. No glam. No sleep. Just endurance, steady hands, deep breathing, and sacred responsibility.

Birthwork is not just candles and affirmations.
It is staying when your legs are tired.
It is holding fear without absorbing it.
It is witnessing power crack open inside the body…twice in one day.🥰

One mother shared:
“She was calm when everything felt overwhelming. Her presence gave me strength I didn’t know I had.”🙏🏽💛🙏🏽

Another said:
“I never once felt alone. She stayed grounded, steady, and supportive through every wave.”🙏🏽💛🙏🏽

This is why I show up.💯

If you’re preparing to bring life through your body and you want support that is steady, sacred, and real…I walk with you.💛#DoulaLife #TwoBirthsOneDay #BirthWorkerEndurance #SacredBirth #LaborSupport #BlackBirthWorkers #MaternalHealth #birthsupport

This weekend I supported a single mother in her birth. She didn’t have anyone who could support her in the hospital as they were watching her first child.

Due to her previous birth experience, she was nervous abt this labor. I met her at the hospital while she was in triage. It was such a honor to love and care for her. We laughed for most of her labor. And when it was time to push, she gave it her all. She even blessed me with the gift of cutting her baby’s umbilical cord which was the first for me. This picture is a beautiful indication of her whole labor.

The next morning she sent me this text!!! This is the reason I love birthwork and being a doula. Assisting mommies in healing from previous traumas and experiencing beautiful, healthy outcomes.

Welcome the our newest starseed to Sacred Womb Haven Family. Healthy Baby Boy!!! #birth #birthworker #greensboro #doulasofcolor #doula #sacredwombhaven #everybabyguilford

Can I tell yall how grateful I am?!!
Today another healthy baby girl was brought Earthside healthy and safe. Her mother was a first time mom who labored for 3 1/2 hours. I showed her the techniques I learned from @spinningbabies. She did them right up until labor. In labor the midwife was concerned abt shoulder dystocia which was corrected psychologically… no interventions needed. This was the 2nd baby in a week that came super fast because of this technique. My other client was a 3rd time mommy who was our model for the class and she delivered within 2 hours. Healthy mommy, healthy baby!!! Let’s continue to change these outcomes with proper care and support💛
This month has been full between classes, Iranti Eje, my birthday and back to back babies. Sometimes I surprise myself for real. However, I am so thankful to be of service to the universe! I am so thankful for the energy to make it through. I am so thankful for beautiful outcomes for black mamas and babies. I am so thankful to be community partners with organizations who are changing maternal outcomes… boots on the ground. I am so thankful to be living my dreams! I am thankful and humbled by it all! #blackbirth #doula #spinningbabies #thedoulaexchange #everybabyguilford #maame #blackmamas #dona

With all the birth work I have been doing, it was important to me to be intentional about my birthday. TBH, I was burning out! So my GodAunt and godcousins ensured to celebrate my day with me and surprised me with gifts and a brunch.
Today, I went to @truerest Float spa! I have wanted to experience this for years. It was my act of self love and care. It was everything I needed. Thank you to everyone who showed me love today! I really appreciate you💛🫂#birthday #restisritual #rejuvenateyourself #selflove❤️ #prioritzeyourself #truerestfloatspa

I was so blessed to attend the State of Black Health conference in Charlotte with Harmony Health. It was such an honor to hear Isis Bey Lcsw Cctp II break down Health Equality and the Communal Approach. I also heard some innovative initiatives for the maternal world. Of course, I linked up with my fam at Black Women’s Health Collective.

It’s incredible how many hats I wear. Sometimes I’m a doula supporting birthing people for positive birth outcomes. Some times I get to support midwives in home birth settings as a birth assistant. One day, my hands will be the first to touch the spirit as it passes through the threshold! And still, I wake up everyday thinking how can I leave the world better than how I found it!!! And that’s where my reproductive justice activism plays out.

That’s why I say I am a BIRTHWORKER!!! May my hands be the guide. May my voice cause swift transformation. May my light shine brightly 💛

Whew! When I say I am FULL😍 Today, I got to hold space and participate in history in the making as the @blackwomenshealthcollective shared our stories and visions for the future. It was so deeply rich with passion and ancestral appreciation. To take one step closer to being the change we want to see and leaving earth in a better condition is so fulfilling. I am so humbled and grateful🙏🏽💛🙏🏽

What a deeply healing and ancestral weekend. It’s been over 5 years since I saw my sister @tropikal_sunrise and niece @nessjayy . Not only did we have a night of fun at @thecharm.xo poetry night, we had deep ancestral conversations that opened the door for healing. So grateful for this special moment.

2: Why is breast milk called “liquid gold”? ✨
Because it’s packed with antibodies, enzymes,
and nutrients tailored just for your baby. It helps
fight infection, supports brain development, and
even changes as your baby grows!
