Chapter fourteen: September!! 🍁📖✨🦴

Our September BOTM was The Scattered Bones by @nicolescarano_author and WHEN I TELL YOUUU this book had us sobbing?! 😭😭😭 we absolutely loved this one, and agreed that it’s one of our favorite book club picks of all time!! It’s that good. Forbidden love, so much angst and yearning, a haunting journey that defied all odds- it has everything you need in a fantasy! And it was done expertly 👏🏻

Our host Zeina brought the apple orchard to us with this perfect setup!! Sitting under the stars next to a fire with some cider = immaculate book club vibes. We had the best fall snacks: cider donuts, apple and chai cookies, caramel apple dip, and our bread queen Mariam baked a pumpkin sourdough loaf which was almost too pretty to eat 🎃

Our September member of the month is…🥁 Zeina!!! For hosting us this month and always bringing good vibes + always being a contributing book club member 🥹 we love you!!!! ❤️

A special happy birthday to our September babies, Yasmeen and Nadeane and Fatima! 🥳

LOVE Y’ALLLLLL truly every meeting gets better and better and as always, thank you for everything you do ❤️❤️❤️ see you witches in October 😉
Xoxo,
Mees 💘✨🏰

Got to experience @fmcfaddenauthor ‘s The Witch x The Red Wings at @littlecaesarsarena with @enchantedpagesbc ❤️

The game was so much fun, perhaps the bookclub is a lucky charm as we witnessed RW’s first win this season!

The book itself is spooky and gripping from the prologue itself. I have my review up on Goodreads, but the vibes were immaculate for Fall in Michigan 🍂🍁❤️

what happens when you mix book clubbers with hockey fans? turns out, a whole lot of community and connection.

we loved being in the mix at last night’s @detroitredwings x @poisonedpenpress Book Club Night, bonding over Freida McFadden’s new book, The Witch — out now!

shoutout @enchantedpagesbc, we’re so happy we got to meet your club and thanks for making BOB a part of it 🫶

we can’t wait for the next one! will we see you there?

Chapter twelve: July! ✨🪽💜

Our July BOTM was The Winged Game by @sophiekimwrites , and what a DELIGHT it was to read & discuss!! We were so excited to step back into fantasy this month, and this standalone was the perfect fit for us! The humor, the slow burn romance, the TRUE enemies to lovers?! We were SAT 🙂‍↕️

We were spoiled by our host Amanda, whose family made us the best falafel!! This was the best recipe for our July meeting tbh
Homemade falafel ✔️
Snacks ✔️
Yapping ✔️
A chaotic game of monikers ✔️

Wouldn’t want to spend it any other way!! 🥰

Our July member of the month is 🥁….Israa!!! One of our newer members who joined with an absolute BANG!! She hasn’t missed a meeting and brings the most contagious energy to our group, we love her big time 🥹💜

Happy birthday to our July baby Zeina & June baby Laura!! And also to Nadia & Laurain, who couldn’t join us, and to Malak who recently came back 🥹🥳

Love y’all SO much, thank you for always making these meetings such a fun event!! 🙂‍↕️

Chapter eleven: June! ☀️👙🌊✨💝

Our June BOTM was Our Secret Summer by @authorrsgrey , and it was the perfect read for our farmer’s market meeting!! This book brought the ultimate summer vibe, and had us all wishing we were strolling the beach in Ibiza 🏖️ it was a quick read with the sweetest friendships & unexpected romance 🥰

We truly peaked this month with our farmers market/Sunday swap!! I know we say this every month- but this was our best meeting to date 🥳 everyone really brought their creativity out & we had the most incredible spread of items to “shop” 💝 from handmade postcards and bags, to pasta salad, homemade jam, brown sugar syrup, tiramisu, mango chia seed pudding, hand-painted bookmarks (!!!), the list goes on and on!! Vibes were 10/10 immaculate and this will definitely be an annual event! 🙂‍↕️💕

Our June member of the month……🥁🥁 our lovely Suki!!! One of our creative minds & the genius behind this theme! 🥹 she also hosted us & provided the refreshments via her cart @littlelevant 🍋 we love you!

A very special happy birthday to our one & only June baby- Laura!! 🥳🎂

Another incredible day for the books!!! 🥰 love you all so very much 🥹 As always, thank you for bringing the best energy to our meetings and for doing THE MOST, in the best way!! Your efforts never ever go unnoticed & I’m extremely thankful for you all 💝💝💝

Chapter nine: April! ⚾️🌭🍿🏟️

Our April BOTM was In Her Own League by @liztomforde.author & wow wow talk about a home run!!! 🙂‍↕️ We went the extra mile and planned our meeting at Comerica Park to watch our Tigers win! The most perfect backdrop to talk about Reese and Emmett 🔥🔥

The majority of us have read (and LOVE) the Windy City series so we knew this one would be a hit!! We fell in love with Emmett “I lift heavy for a reason” Montgomery and had SOOO much fun yapping about him and Reese, what a power couple!!! 🥰🙂‍↕️

We unfortunately couldn’t bring a cake into the stadium, but here’s a huge shoutout to our beautiful April babies: Ebti, Aysha, Nadien, and Natalie!! We love you ladies!! 🥳💗🎂✨

We had to skip member of the month because of logistics (lame), but our next one is going to be super special 🥹 so MotM goes to the Tigers for winning!!! 🤣

As always, love you all SOOOO much!! I don’t know how we made a 20-person group work for this, but I’m so glad we did 🥹 the weather was perfect, the discussion was a blast, and we all looked AMAZING!!! 🥰 thank you thank you for showing up and bringing all the energy!!! See your pretty faces next month!

Mees 💕✨📚

Chapter Eight: March 🗡️❤️‍🔥✨

Did someone say BOOK OF THE YEAR?! Our March BOTM was Daggermouth by @hm.wolfe and wowowowWOW what a wild ride it was!!! We unanimously agreed this is our best BOTM so far, and it is 10000% worth the hype 🙂‍↕️ enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience, plot twist after plot twist- it left us picking our jaws up off the floor 🤯🤯

We had our fan-fave snack plates again & added some arts and crafts to the schedule because why not?! If you’ve read Daggermouth, you know that some characters wear masks over their faces, so we decided to make our own! 🎨 We had the best time yapping and painting and bedazzling- the perfect night! Don’t let the masks confuse you though- we’re def part of the rebellion 🫡

Our March member of the month is….🥁🥁🥁 Mirna!!! Our OG member who found her way back to us 🥹 thank you for always bringing so much to our discussions, and for making sure to never miss a meeting!!! We 🫶🏼 you!!

She unfortunately couldn’t make it this night, but happy birthday to our only March baby, Zee!! 🥳💗

Thank you to the best group of girls for making this meeting so memorable!!! It was small but mighty and just as fun as always!! 🥹🤍 there is nothing like bonding over books and arts & crafts- with a side of amore chai 😉 love you all and can’t wait to discuss our next book over a hot dog & popcorn!!! ⚾️🏟️🌭🍿✨

Xoxo,
Mees 💗✨📚
