Parking Day in Dutchtown was lots of fun! 🥳 It was great to see our small businesses and community partners join in to transform Meramec into a mini plaza for the day. Even though the activation ends at 3pm, you can shop with and visit these partners any day of the week!

Thank you to @urbaneats and @stltreasurer for bringing this experience to Dutchtown ✨

This is what happens when community, respect, and creative flow align in real time ✨

Come hungry. Come curious. And maybe leave a little extra room in the shopping budget. 👀🇵🇷

El Barrio wouldn't be El Barrio without the incredible businesses, artisans, and community organizations showing up to share what they do with our familia.

This Saturday, make sure you take some time to explore ALL of El Barrio:

🍴 Come hungry and show some love to our food vendors serving up Puerto Rican favorites and flavors from across our Latino community.

🛍️ Shop local artisans and makers bringing their crafts, creations, and one-of-a-kind finds.

🤝 Get connected with community partners and organizations sharing resources, opportunities, and information for you and your familia.

These vendors and partners are helping us create the kind of barrio we've been talking about all along: one where we support each other, discover something new, and build community together.

So when you get here, don't just find the stage and stay there. Walk the block. Meet somebody. Try something new. ❤️

📅 Saturday, August 8
⏰ 1–7 PM
📍 Marquette Park

And here's your challenge: How many of these vendors can you visit before the day is over? 👀

Somos tu familia extendida. Nos vemos en El Barrio. 🇵🇷❤️

July flew by! From cheering on the FIFA World Cup to celebrating at ribbon cuttings, it’s been an incredible month. I’m truly honored to engage with our community and work every day to help make St. Louis even stronger. Here are some behind-the-scenes highlights from the month:

- Cheered loudly for both USA and Bosnia-Herzegovina in round 32 of the FIFA World Cup

- Celebrated America’s 250th birthday at the Gateway Arch, where Ludacris and Chingy performed on stage together

- Chatted numbers (my favorite!) with former Governor Martin O’Malley to learn how we can make our CityStat program even stronger

- Kicked off the 137th Session of the Missouri Annual Conference of African Methodist Episcopal Zion Churches (faith-based organizations are so important in St. Louis!)

- Participated in St. Louis City SC’s 40 Days of Soccer program with the opening of a new mini-pitch at Fairground Park (no, my soccer moves did not improve)

- Buried a time capsule full of photos, artifacts, memorabilia, and letters for future Soulard residents with the Soulard Restoration Group

- Celebrated a new croquet garden, bathrooms, and concessions at Tower Grove Park (I love seeing investment in our parks)

- Connected with future leaders at the Encore4Youth Health & Wellness Night after a community service day with my office

- Observed world-class art at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation and even got a VIP tour from Emmy Pulitzer herself

- Learned about the $81 million revitalization of the historic Edison Brothers building (I love that mural!)
