October 18, 2026:
6 years ago, we stood in this very spot and took the first step toward forever. ❤️

Every year, we come back to where it all began. But this year, on October 18th, felt a little different. This time, we had a little someone with us who has made our world so much bigger, louder, sillier, and more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.

Little did we know, standing here six years ago, just how much life would change. Before Ada, before the giggles, the mischief, the curious little eyes, the book fiend, the ritz cracker fiend, and the kind of joy you can’t quite put into words, there was just us … dreaming about the life we wanted to build together.

That life became more than we ever could have dreamed of.

Going back to the beginning reminds us that life isn’t just about how far we’ve come, but remembering where it all started. The places that once held our dreams now hold our memories, and the dreams we once had have grown into something even more meaningful than we knew to hope for.

Six years later, the same place, the same love, but a whole new chapter unfolding right before our eyes.

Funny how life comes full circle. And even more beautiful when you get to bring a little piece of your forever along for the ride. 🥹❤️ happy 6 year proposaversary my love.

One year ago, we met you — and life has felt fuller, brighter, and more meaningful ever since.❤️

This first milestone feels huge. You already have so much personality packed into that little tiny body of yours. You’ve got my appetite, your mama’s smile, and somehow the perfect mix of both our personalities woven together into your own silly, joyful spirit.

I’m gonna word vomit some things off the top of my head.
You hate wearing socks (with a passion 🤣), but watching those tiny fingers carefully pick up each little piece of food from your tray with such focus and precision still amazes us every day. You’re cheeky, curious and quietly observant — soaking in everything around you.

Some of my favorite moments are the quiet ones. When you’re tired and melt into my chest, wiggling your forehead right into that spot between my shoulder and my neck and under my chin. I hope it’s the safest and comfiest spot for you currently. I wish I could freeze those moments forever.

You love people. You love being around others. And even when a friend takes a toy from you, you don’t fuss — you just keep smiling and sharing, as if your heart already understands kindness in a way most of us spend years trying to learn (I truly believe you’ve just naturally inherited this from your mama).

And I can’t make this post without mentioning my partner in crime — I chose the first picture, beautifully captured by our Splendor bestie @raypropstudios , because it feels like us. No matter where we are — even if life feels like a maze — we keep walking this path together, and somehow we keep finding our happiness. Wherever life takes us, we get to hold her in our arms, side by side, and face whatever comes next together.

Watching you become you has been the greatest privilege of my life. This is only the first milestone of many, and I already know I’ll be cheering for you at every single one.

December is my favorite month… and this has been my favorite season with my mini @adarosetruong (although 90% of other people seem to believe she’s @alan.truong ‘s mini 👀).

Each day with our princess is truly a gift. I love getting into giggle battles with her now and just watching her explore the world and show more and more of her personality each day. I feel so locked into her that my birthday itself felt like an after thought, but her papacado did make sure to plan a special surprise birthday for me that celebrates who I was before becoming a mom — a karaoke and Korean food fiend! Thank you to my love and my wonderful friends and family who celebrated with me near and far. I really love that each birthday for me is intertwined with the New Year’s vibes of reflecting and resetting. I will get a new blog post out with more of my thoughts and reflections soon! 💜✨
