My first time traveling to Colombia was last October and my heart is STILL FULL!!!

We started in Barranquilla to look at wedding venues and I got to meet Nick’s amazing grandparents for the first time and some other family/friends 💚💚

Then we headed over to the Tayrona area for our yoga retreat with @ashlynbugbee. during this time we got to learn about the Kogi tribe & see their village and how they live off the land. They held a ceramony for us and asked for permission for us to be on this land. The tribes of the Sierra Nevada region are some of the only tribes in the world to live peacefully and never have a war with each other or turn to violence. they represent peace, love and harmony.

We also had two different opportunities to give back to the communities around us (& if you know me this is one of the most important parts of traveling for me)

Then we headed off to minca to explore the beautiful rainforest and waterfalls. We were also lucky enough to be invited into a wiwa’s (another tribe similar to the kogi) home and property, this was truly an honor they do not talk much or socialize with people outside their tribe. He made us agua panella and played the flute for us.. truly a breathtaking experience.

Colombia I miss you and I can’t wait to come back

New Year's Yoga Retreat @villasumaya , Guatemala

Every time I look back at these photos, it still feels surreal.

Some of my favorite highlights from this unforgettable experience:

•Flowing and meditating each day in front of Lake Atitlán and the surrounding volcanoes
•Paddleboarding and jumping off cliffs
•Our beautiful cacao ceremony, a moment of deep connection and healing
•Watching fireworks light up the lake, surrounded by new friends
•Having every meal thoughtfully prepared for us, nourishing both body and soul
•Feeling humbled by what was supposed to be the “easy 3-mile hike”
•Exploring the apothecaries and learning about holistic medicine

There are so many more memories and highlights that I can’t fit into one post, but I’ll forever be grateful for the healing I found at Lake Atitlán.

Up next is Peru and Colombia 🥹🫶🏻
