In April, we hosted three activists from Minneapolis for a 15-day tour across Switzerland, France and the Netherlands.

Rafael Gonzalez @tufawon — Dakota/Boricua rapper and community organiser. Janette Zahia Corcelius — union organiser and anti-racist activist. Sagirah Shahid @sagirah.shahid — poet, performer and Green Party member.

They came from the frontlines of the resistance against ICE in Minnesota — where 50,000 people marched in freezing temperatures in January, where communities organise every day against raids, mass surveillance and deportations.

They came with a mandate: a resolution from the Minneapolis City Council calling on European investors — including UBS and the Swiss National Bank — to cut financial ties with ICE contractors.

Because our research showed it: UBS has become the 3rd largest shareholder of GEO Group. The SNB invests massively in Palantir. Billions in Swiss capital are funding the repression machine.

Over 15 days, the delegation travelled through Basel, Zürich, Fribourg, Lausanne, Geneva, Bern, Paris, Bobigny and Amsterdam. Public conferences, roundtables with Swiss trade unions SIT and SSP, concerts, rallies — and two direct actions at the annual general meetings of UBS (April 15, Basel) and the SNB (April 24, Bern).

Media coverage followed: RTS, Le Temps, Tribune de Genève, Blick, Watson, SRF, La Liberté, Le Courrier, Reuters. Parliamentary questions were filed. The debate shifted.

But this is only the beginning.

👉 See our next post for 3 CONCRETE ACTIONS you can take right now: write to your MP about the Lex UBS, join the email action targeting the banks, and organise at the canton level with us.

And our next moment of action: the NO G7.

The G7 summit takes place June 15–17 in Évian — right next to Geneva. On June 13–14, an internationalist counter-summit is being organised in Geneva. June 14, the historic day of the feminist strike in Switzerland, will see a major authorised demonstration.

The G7 is the political board meeting of global capitalism. This is where policies are shaped that protect financial flows to the fossil fuel industry, the arms trade, and the surveillance state.

Europe 2026 tour dump - how many mpg you think this car gets?

Europe is full of tiny cars, public transit, amazing street art, narrow streets, walking endlessly, really old buildings, badass activists, pastries and amazing lifelong friends ❤️‍🔥
