My heart is heavy for the communities we saw in the DR. Poverty and Hopelessness everywhere. What a blessing it was to share the Hope we find in Jesus. Romans 8:18.
Come and see.

one of my favorites parts of building is getting to collaborate alongside great people. 🫶🏽

over the last 5 years i’ve started to notice a pattern… many of the people we enjoy collaborating with are owner-operators.

seems silly but what i’ve realized is that the people estimating the work are the same people performing it.

the same people who make promises are the same people responsible for keeping them.

most importantly, the quality of the work seems to be at the forefront of their processes.💙

one of the biggest reasons i started @cruzbuilt was to structure a company that would allow me MORE time in the field, not LESS. i enjoy being close to work, close to the people, and closer to the process.

it’s probably why we find ourselves surrounded by so many like minded owner-operators.

🫶🏽 shoutout to our homies at @triadsurfacecreations

Afternoon skate session with @elon.skatepark.coalition was a blast, and @pandoraspies pizza hit the spot with the homies. It's time for a skate park in Elon/Alamance - let's make it a reality!

@hydroblokofficial just landed in greensboro 💙

huge thanks to casey (@thetiledadnc) & jason (@mcleancompaniesinc)for spending the day answering all our nerdy questions. redundancies are a must for us & @triadsurfacecreations is not easily impressed. 🫶🏽

here’s the scoop: why it beats traditional membranes:
- install & water test in a single day
- closed cell foam board (waterproof by nature)
- wallboards & pans are fused together—no taped joints with setting materials.
- flawless with @flofx.usa drains (check those out if you haven’t)
- they have their own uncoupling membrane & it’s 🔥🔥🔥

this @hydroblokglobal system is like a monolithic window sill—just for showers though! 🫶🏽

it’s interlocked, fused, and can be water-tested the same day thanks to their sealant being water activated.

i had to ask… the joint sealant has a perm rating of .5 🤓

in a world demanding more for less—hydroblok has managed to deliver. the best part for us is that it is installed with built-in redundancies—we love it!!

also, @kiesel_usa all-natural grout? 😍 more to come, but for now…

it’s a creamy and mineral-colored grout that acts like hydraulic cement. there are no dyes & no tinting of any kind. all natural colors. 😍

germany brings so much pride in raw materials and it is seen in the details. 💙
