We’re really proud to announce 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙄𝙨 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙄𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙, an exhibition co-curated by Jess Bass and Yue Xu at Co-Prosperity (Co-Pro) @coprosperitychicago Join us for the opening reception on Friday, October 16 at 6 PM. The exhibition premieres new work by Jess Bass( @partly_spring ), Camille Casemier ( @camillecasemier ), Maurício Chades ( @m.chades ), Corey Smith ( @ennui2 ), Odette Stout ( @000.dette ), and Yue Xu ( @laaamaluna ), who use the metaphor of the rabbit — its body, social structures, habitat, and ecosystem — to playfully explore the dynamics of power within global, complex networks of ecology, economics, government, and politics. Through the image, biology and lore of the rabbit, the artists weave personal stories with larger socio-political narratives, examining how power is distributed, expressed, concealed, and resisted. Each artwork spanning painting, sculpture, performance, video installation, and augmented reality, invites audiences to consider their role within systems and cycles where objects, bodies, and identities are continually exchanged, transformed, and renewed. The opening will feature four interconnected performances, each leaving behind traces that will remain on view for the duration of the exhibition. The exhibition will be on view from Friday, October 16 - November 26 , 2026

🐴Cast announcements for House of the Exquisite Corpse VI: LULLABIES are here!
There are 6 rooms and every room features 2 to 3 puppeteers (and countless puppets), but before that can come to be, we have our room creators! These are the folks who conceive of the creation, tie it to the theme, make the puppets and write the story. Meet the creators of “don’t you want to live it? don’t you want to live your dream?” FELIX  is a Chicago-based artist, puppeteer, and game-master. They are an Associate Company Member at Tuta Theatre and a longtime collaborator with Rough House, Chicago Children’s Theatre, and Manual Cinema. Follow Felix @Enero.Gap Abby Palen is a spectacle puppeteer and storyteller based in Chicago, IL. Abby says “My art belongs in extremes. In tiny quiet basements, in the loudest part of the street, or in the middle of the woods, you can find me with a story and an image to share.”  Tickets are now available to see their work at “House of the Exquisite Corpse VI: LULLABIES.” Link in bio above. #houseoftheexcquisitecorpse #roughhousepuppetarts #SpookyChicago Two creators bio pictures are framed the old-fashioned golden oval frame. The First creator, Felix is partially obscuring their face behind a glass of water. The second creator, Abbi poses on stage of the Puppet with warm red lighting all around them.
