Aerialists are athletes — and athletes need fuel. 🖤

Pole, lyra, silks, and strength-based movement ask a lot from your body. But in fitness spaces, the message is often to eat less, shrink more, and push harder.

For aerialists, under-fueling can make training harder — affecting energy, strength, recovery, focus, grip, and performance.

We spoke with Enjely Mora, MS, RD, LDN, CPT — registered dietitian, personal trainer, aerial coach, and Lyra instructor — about how aerialists can better support their bodies through nutrition.

Her reminder: sometimes getting stronger starts with eating enough.

A New England week of work and play!
Spent most of the week in Boston for the @thefemaleathleteconference

It felt likes stepping outside my comfort zone and learning more about the sports world (and also EDs and body image as always!) and I was inspired!!

I also met almost every RD blogger who I followed in 2015 and inspired me on my path at the @lane9project happy hour, so that was very fun and cool…and of course I have no pics 🙈

Learned a lot and met amazing people and then spent the weekend in Maine (met my parents there!) to see Come From Away!

While I was always too painfully shy to actually be a theater kid (and too busy playing sports), my sister was very involved in theater and my parents have always loved broadway so I’m a big fan!

After seeing @maryspacekate in wicked this year I’ve also become such a fan of hers so when I heard she was going to be at @ogunquitplayhouse I got my parents to tag along (they visited ogunquit in their just married days!! 🥹) and we had such a great time

Heading into Monday inspired and refreshed (and Cody is too, he was the ultimate passenger princess)

Comment and lmk how your weekend was!
