Eight years and counting. 🌿

That’s how long we’ve been sending our turmeric root down to the En Root family. Grown on small family farms in India, dried slow in the sun, ground fresh. Nothing added, nothing taken away.

They brew it into “The Leaning Tea”, Leaning Tree turmeric root powder Ashwagandha Root Powder and black pepper, warmed through with vegan milk. It’s been a staple on their menu for years, and it’s still one of the simplest, most grounding cups in South London.

We’re in Vata season now. The air’s turned cold and dry, the days are shorter, and Ayurveda says this is the time to bring in warmth and routine. A golden cup does exactly that.

So go in, sit down, and order one. Tell them we sent you.

🌿2. Paired with black pepper for generations
🌿3. A slow, golden daily ritual
🌿4. Rooted in Ayurvedic tradition

Want to make it at home? Our turmeric root powder is on the site. Link in bio.

Following numerous radio takeovers on Voices Radio and more recently at Rich Mix, Awaaz are coming to South London institution En Root! We are bringing the essence of our takeovers to create a warm and relaxed space for people to hang out, share music and tell stories.

We’ll have DJs from the Awaaz collective playing a beautiful soundtrack of music, but also film / documentary screenings, poetry and spoken word readings, panel discussions and more - all tied together with delicious food and drink.

We’re going to be doing all of this with the wonderful people at En Root in Peckham every month on the last Sunday from 5pm-late. Awaaz Chaat - nights where you are guaranteed warmth, joy and some exceptional programming centred around celebrating the South Asian Diaspora.

We’ll be kicking off the residency this Sunday 25th October, with a selection of Awaaz DJs as well as a special screening of (insert film here)

Wow my heart is so full. Thank you so much to everyone who came down to the LDN TO CONGO WITH LOVE - a GREENTEA & @enrootldn supper club. This was my favourite supper club so far, a night full of softness and room to express, unwind and reason. A night of sharing and gratitude, dancing and food! It’s such an honour to be able to curate and hold space for ya’ll. I love serving u. Thank you to all my brothers and sisters who graced the stage. All audio and edible chefs. Thank you to the artists that displayed their work, big up all my magical friends offering their energy and service. Shout out to @poplarunion for the space and hard work too. It was a night to remember and honestly I plan to hold many more. These are distant and shifting times and these nights help me feel closer, to you and to the whole world. One family. I hope you feel the same way. I’m yet to do the calculations in regards to our donation to @focuscongo but I will update you all soon. For now thank you thank you, so much gratitude. The sun within me is burning brighter and I hope yours is too. Have a beautiful day, until next time…TELL DEM ITS SUNNY BB ☀️

So wonderful to be part of ‘LDN to the Congo With Love’ a Greentea & En Root Supper Club, raising money for the Congo. ☮️@poplarunion

My first live painting in London since moving from Liverpool! 🎨💜 The painting I created on the night will also be auctioned to raise further funds. Stay tuned for details! 🇨🇩
Live painting was a big part of my life in Liverpool, connecting with grassroots music and arts communities and translating sound, atmosphere and energy into colour. I’m excited to build those connections in London and keep creating alongside people bringing music, art and community together.
Thank you for having me and what a lovely moment with @celeste I love your passion and the art you created 🌻✨
I’m available for live painting at music nights, gigs, festivals and events.
DM me for bookings and collaborations
I’d love to bring some colour to your next event! 💌

LDN TO THE CONGO WITH LOVE 🇨🇩❤️

What a mind blowingly wholesome evening!

Massive respect to @greenteapeng and @enrootldn for putting on events like this raising money for important causes! And @poplarunion for all that they do as a community.

The shocking reality that is so easy to bypass, is desperate to be acknowledged! To see people come together in unity at these events, eating together, sharing stories, sharing skills, resources… It’s truly PHENOMENAL 🙏🏽

It’s an honour to bring some magic there too 🍄‍🟫🍫getting them neurological pathways wide open bruv! 🧬

My heart & soul are full of the sweetest vibes and I’m already buzzing for the next one! ✨

If any of you are wanting to support the missions head over to @focuscongo 🙏🏽🤍

CLAPHAM’S ONLY VEGAN RESTAURANT HAS BEEN DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY FOR 10 YEARS 🌱 // Meet @enrootldn an independent, South London-born business bringing a whole lot of flavour to Clapham.

What started as a little pop-up in Herne Hill has grown into a much-loved plant-based food business, celebrating 10 years of doing things their own way.

And whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or simply love good food, this is one local spot worth discovering.

We love seeing passionate local entrepreneurs like @nishanti_enroot and @harshmodasia building something special in our neighbourhood. Independent businesses like this are part of what makes Clapham such a brilliant place to live.

Had a nice walk through 3 South London cemeteries yesterday and hungry after so filled up with feel-good delicious food at @enrootldn Peckham.
My and mate got sharing plate and poppadoms to start with. Such a great place to eat for a hungry vegan zombie who has just risen from their grave (see last pic).
