Last night’s @iscp_nyc benefit at @jamescohangallery. You can bid on my collage, and other works by some outstanding artists, for the auction through @artsy for a few more hours. Proceeds benefit this NYC based international studio residency program.

Been so caught up with Frieze London that I didn’t get a chance to promote this benefit properly. As an artist whose work has been substantially supported by residencies, I want to make sure this work gets a good home and can support this program. If you see this message after the bidding closes, DM me for intel on if it’s still available. 😉

Repost @iscp_nyc: Bidding is now open for ISCP’s 2023 Silent Auction on @artsy! Check out 45+ artworks by visionary artists, including ones by Helina Metaferia, Delilah Montoya, Entang Wiharso, Pelle Cass, Yu-Wen Wu, and Joiri Minaya. Scroll through to view 👉 Thanks to the generosity of artists a portion of the proceeds will support ISCP’s mission.

The Silent Auction will run through October 3–17, 12pm EDT. Please note that registration is required on @artsy to bid on artworks.

ISCP is a laboratory for the world’s most promising artists and curators, a place for innovation and experimentation. Thanks to the generosity of artists and donors, proceeds from the benefit and auction will directly further ISCP’s mission of advancing the careers of visionary art practitioners from around the globe and serve New York City public audiences year-round.

Make sure to purchase your ticket for ISCP’s Celebrate the Studio 2023 through 🔗in bio to join us on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 6:30pm @jamescohangallery (48 Walker), New York for the 2023 Benefit and Auction 🎟️

Enjoyed the wide ranging conversation with Peter Kalb last week in my studio and his interest in the Indonesian art scene. We talked about the 2003 Jogja Biennale that @christinecocca and I organized and the development of the institution in subsequent years. #indonesianart #jogjabiennale #indonesiancontemporaryartist #indonesianartist #indonesiancontemporaryart #indonesianart #diaspora #artistofcolor #entangwiharso #entangwiharsoart

Recovery, healing, transformation—collectively and individually we are undergoing these interconnected processes in the post-pandemic era.

Our cover Feature by desk editor Mimi Wong (@whoismims) looks at Jes Fan’s (@jes.j.fan) Mother of Pearl series (2020–22), which uses the oyster’s natural response to grow shiny nacre over the site of an infection.

The second Feature marks the beginning of a collaborative series with Asia Art Archive (@asiaartarchive). For this issue, associate editor Pamela Wong (@idonthavetails) translates into English influential texts by members of the Hong Kong art community.

For Inside Burger Collection (@burger_collection), art historian Rebecca Peabody reflects on Kara Walker’s (@kara_walker_official) cutout installations. In Profiles, Meera Menezes (@meeramenezesart) delves into the practice of Nikhil Chopra (@nikhil.chopra.artist), while Johanna Bear (@johannarbear) catches up with the performance duo Club Ate.

Christopher Whitfield writes an essay about the themes of Ghost2565 (@ghost2565ghost) in Bangkok.

Entang Wiharso (@entangwiharso) pens a moving Tribute to the late Ashley Bickerton (1959–2022), while Rachel Lim files a Dispatch from Singapore.

For our One on One column, artist Sriwhana Spong (@sriwhana) writes about her fascination with the 12th-century mystic Hildegard of Bingen.

In The Point, artist Dane Mitchell (@danemitchell) explains how a surreptitious initiative to 3D-print the Parthenon Marbles inspired his latest project, The Museum of Without (2022).

For Reviews, we gathered reflections on the biennials, mega-exhibitions, and solo showcases.

Lastly, in Where I Work, associate editor Tiffany F. Luk (@tffny.lk) visits the Istanbul studio of İnci Eviner (@eviner_inci).
