As an inmate, I used to listen to Bott Radio, finding immeasurable peace and joy in the preaching and music.

Last night, I had the incredible privilege of sharing that story and leading the room in The Old Rugged Cross at Bott Radio’s 40th Anniversary Celebration.

What a full-circle moment. Only God. #BRNMemphis40 #prisonstories #oldruggedcross #worship #testimony

10 years of Hope City Church means 10 years of strong relationships and community.

As we celebrate 10 years of working in the community, we pause to honor four special people who have been part of our story from the beginning.

Miss Quincey Morris opened doors for Pastor Cooper throughout the Klondike Smokey City community. Through the Klondike Smokey City CDC, she has continued to support the vision and mission of Hope City Church.

Mr. Odell Sanders has known Pastor Cooper since his younger days in Westwood. He has been a sincere supporter and encourager through the years. His catering business has also provided hot meals for Hope City and the community since our beginning.

Mrs. Ephie Johnson has been a mentor and prayer partner to Pastor Colley and Sheri Cooper. The Neighborhood Christian Center has also opened its doors to Hope City many times as we served and grew in North Memphis.

Pastor Marron Thomas, Tori Thomas and Innovation Church welcomed Hope City’s core launch team before our first official worship service. They shared their own church-planting journey and have continued to offer wisdom, encouragement and partnership along the way.

As the former pastor of Coleman Chapel, Pastor James and the church leaders opened their doors for Hope City’s first baptism ceremony. They also partnered with Hope City for fellowship and community outreach, helping create opportunities for both churches to serve together.

These relationships are part of our story. We celebrate them as we celebrate 10 years of Hope City Church!
