Somewhere along the way, we confused COMMON with NORMAL.

We've normalised women losing days of their lives every month to debilitating cramps, exhaustion, heavy bleeding and hormonal symptoms.

And whilst hormonal fluctuations throughout the menstrual cycle are completely physiological, being routinely incapacitated by them shouldn't be dismissed as "just part of being a woman."

Your menstrual cycle is a reflection of your reproductive and overall health. When symptoms consistently interfere with your ability to function, they deserve investigation, not just another heat pack and a handful of painkillers.

But here's something else we need to talk about.

Rest isn't something women should have to earn by reaching breaking point.

Your luteal phase is a perfectly reasonable time to slow down, prioritise sleep, nourish your body and make space for recovery. Not because you're incapable, but because responding to your body's needs is a form of self-respect.

And that's where @eq_wellbeing comes in. 🤎

A space to step away from the constant demands of life, prioritise recovery and give your body the attention it deserves.

Whether you're navigating your luteal phase, recovering from a demanding week or simply craving a moment to yourself, consider this your reminder that recovery belongs in your routine, not just at the point of exhaustion.

Because women's health isn't just about treating symptoms. It's also about creating space to feel well.

And ladies, we deserve both.

Save this for your next luteal phase. ❤️

42.2 km later… you’ve earned the recovery 💙 Swipe for five Melbourne spots to refuel, recover, and reset after the marathon.

Refuel after the race with a Japanese inspired bowl from @noshaustralia . Find Nosh on ClassPass at Galleria, Docklands, or Rialto.

Give your tired legs extra care with compression therapy, then unwind in P3 Recovery’s magnesium pools. Check out their Richmond or Port Melbourne locations.

@p3recovery_portmelbourne

Find a quieter recovery at @sonarooms in Prahran, with access to an infrared sauna, contrast therapy, and oxygen therapy. Choose what you need most and take some time to switch off after the race.

Wind down after race day at @eq_wellbeing in South Melbourne. Spend 90 minutes moving between the sauna, steam room, mineral spa, and cold plunger at your own pace.

Massage or body treatment on the agenda? @one_big_love in Abbotsford has a range of options to give your muscles some well- earned downtime after the race.

And it’s taper week, which makes things even worse…so this 3-hour @eq_wellbeing Signature Journey Experience was exactly what I needed ahead of this race weekend 🤍

IF YOU NEED A RESET, OR SIMPLY WANT TO TREAT YOURSELF, THIS IS YOUR SIGN.

I spent 3 hours at @eq_wellbeing, and this was my full experience:

Started with the light + sound session in the Dome, and I genuinely switched off, almost falling asleep.

Then into the Bathhouse, rotating between the magnesium spa, Finnish sauna and 5°C cold plunge.

Back to the spa.
Back to the sauna.
Back to the cold plunge.

I loved taking my time and repeating the cycle at my own pace.

Three hours later, I walked out feeling completely calm, refreshed and reset. 🤍
