There are two versions of the photographer. One looks like she might know what she’s doing. The other looks like she’s been found in pink Crocs, covered in horse hair, perusing the middle aisle of Aldi 👀

Unfortunately, both are me. And there is not middle ground iykyk

So many people don’t book photoshoots because they think they need to become this perfect, serious, confident version of themselves first. Like they need to know how to pose, know what to do with their face, have their entire life together (definitely not me), never look ridiculous, never feel awkward, never be anything less than graceful and mysterious.

Absolutely NOT.

I am literally the person creating these images, and half the time I look like I’ve been DRAGGED through the hedge backwards.

I know it can feel intimidating having photos taken by someone you think is an ultra put together serious person!

You can be ridiculous and still be powerful.
You can be awkward and still look incredible.
You can laugh at yourself and still have photos that feel cinematic, emotional, dramatic and expensive.

You do not need to take yourself painfully seriously to deserve beautiful photos! Please trust me on that 🙏

In fact, I’d rather photograph the real version.

That’s where the good stuff is 😉🐴📸

This weekend at the @nationalequineshow something pretty special happened.

Thousands of people walked through the doors… and a whole lot of them wandered over to Booth G80.

Some came for hats.
Some came for the Outlaw Rug.
Some came to talk horses, dirt, and the western life.
Most never left.

But the best part for us?

Meeting every single one of you.

Why You Don’t Need Confidence to Book a Photoshoot✨👇🏻

Everyone thinks they NEED confidence before booking a photoshoot with their horse…

You don’t need confidence.
You just need permission to show up as you ARE.
Permission to not have all the answers.
Permission to be a little messy, a little nervous, a little scatty, a little “God I hope my horse behaves today”, to be YOURSELF 🐴🙈

Confidence doesn’t magically appear the night before your photoshoot. It happens in the moment. When your horse relaxes. When the light hits just right.
When you realise I’m not here to judge you… I’m here to build a world around YOU. When the first photo makes you go
“Oh… wait. That’s ME?” 🤩

Because when you’re seen…properly seen…something shifts.

You stop trying to look a certain way and you start feeling a certain way.

And that my friends… that’s what makes the photos iconic.
