📍𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐟𝐫𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤, 𝐈𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 🇮🇸

This fissure is a crack between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. It's a geologically unique place and home to some of the clearest water in the world 💧 The water was at a "delightful" temperature of 2°C 🥶 I’ve never felt my hands get so cold! 😅

We’ve snorkeled a lot in warm waters, but this was a first in the cold and with a dry suit! I was skeptical, but it really works 😁

We booked the activity with @trollexpeditions directly on their website. It was an investment, but so worth it! A once-in-a-lifetime experience—literally, because I’m in no rush to be that cold again 😅 We had a warm van to change in, our guide James was great, and we ended the day with hot chocolate and treats 😋 Bonus: they include photos! We thought about taking the GoPro, but we were glad we didn't—our hands were so numb, and the gloves were so thick, it would’ve been impossible to use!

Here's one of the most colorful places I've ever visited! So beautiful and so many colors 😍 save half a day to visit next time you go to Venice, you won't regret it 🥰 we were greeted with rain but it quickly stopped! Swipe to see how my umbrella 🌂 matched the village mood 😜😁

Why is it so colorful? 🤔 It's said that several hundred years ago, the fishermen painted their houses in bright colours so that they could see them from a distance while they were out fishing in the mists of the lagoon. 🎨🎣

In here, you can get lost in the pages of Venice's most unique bookshop, where the beauty of literature flows with the tides 📚🌊

You will find books stacked in gondolas and bathtubs to protect them from the high tides, also known in Venice as "acqua alta."

Every corner of this whimsical bookshop has something to see. You may even find one of the resident cats 🐈 sadly, I haven't seen any. Likely, due to the fact the place was brimming with tourists 🫣

The books used as stairs were sadly damaged during one of the many floods that affect Venice every year. 💔

Another fact about this bookshop - stationery outside in one of the canals there's a gondola, where you can go to take a photo if you don't want to pay to go on one 🤗 since we were going, we didn't even check it out. You can see it on the last photo of the carousel [📷 7]

Life is like a camera, just focus on what's important 📸

Day 1 in 📍Egypt:
☆ Giza Pyramids Complex (1-5)
☆ Saqqara Complex (6-9)
☆ Memphis (10)

.
We've seen all these places on our first day! We also went to the Papyrus museum/shop and to a carpet factory where we learned how both things were made. 🤓
.
.
We have chosen to do all this with a tour operator to make it easy to move in between places and to have a guide so we could learn as much as possible about Ancient Egypt! 🇪🇬
.
.
ℹ️ Entrance in all the places + guide in portuguese + lunch + transport in a mini van with air con = 70€ 🤗
⏰️ Pick up at 07.30am and dropp off at 5pm!
.
.
It was a great day but we were super tired because we only slept 3 hours 😴 I actually took a nap before dinner 🤭🍴 we ended up walking to a restaurant nearby to have dinner, where we were surprised by the amazing view! 🧡

The banana republic paradise 🍌🙈 This beautiful organic banana farm, also with other tropical fruits, it's only reached by cable car 🚡 (a very steep one - 300m downward descend!) It's such a quiet and beautiful place, we saw less than half a dozen of other people 😌

Do you know the meaning of Fajã? 🤔 Is a flat piece of land on the shoreline formed by landfall.
.

On the 3rd photo you can spot one of the cable car cabins that took us down 👀 🚡

"The little things?
The little moments?
They aren't little." 💙

A place that no words can describe, such an amazing, incredibly beautiful view ⛰️ my thoughts here went to Jurassic Park and The Lord of the Rings type of scenic landscape, extraordinary ❤
.
We saw the centre of the island without clouds in the morning so we drove straight up, to one of the highest peaks - Pico do Areeiro, 1817m above sea level. It was a good decision, the sky was clear, just some random clouds to add up some more beauty 👌
.
The trail between peaks will stay for another visit to the island as this time we had my parents with me and that hike was not suitable for them, if you slide to the side you will find some info about the trail ⚠️
