What an awesome week of concerts 🎶❤️

Monday night was @lauren_daigle at the Puyallup Fair, and then last night we got to see @forkingandcountry 🙌🏻

Taiten was REALLY hoping to get a pair of drumsticks from the drummer… and he actually got them!! 🥁 He was so excited and it totally made his night.

Such a fun week of great music, incredible energy, praising, and some really special memories with my boy. ❤️

Quick trip to Whistler to cheer on @mayumi.wakefield as she raced at @crankworx! We squeezed in a little adventure too. The boys convinced me to do the Sasquatch, North America’s longest and fastest zipline. My Garmin clocked me at 75 mph! 😳😂 And Taiten was finally big enough to bungee jump!

A big thank you to Auntie May and family for making the trip even more fun, for all the laughs and memories, and for letting us crash at your place! ❤️

20 years to us 🥂

Every moment with you has meant so much to me, and being with you is my favorite adventure! I’m so grateful for the life we’ve built together, and I thank God for walking us through it all.

I’d choose you again and again 😘

We soaked up as much sunshine as we could in San Diego, and even when the Seattle rain followed us, it just became part of the adventure. Zoo days, exploring the USS Midway, beach walks, and some friendly golf competition. Rain or shine, being with family is what makes it unforgettable! So grateful for the laughs and memories ☀️💛

The goal was to see the Northern Lights, and Iceland came through 🇮🇸
Without knowing if conditions would cooperate, they took the chance after finding out about the @icelandair stopover and made it to Reykjavík. So grateful they did, because the kids got to watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky, something truly unforgettable ✨

Barcelona through their eyes 🇪🇸
Gaudí’s world had them captivated—bold colors, layered textures, and imaginative designs in every curve and detail.
They were amazed that the Sagrada Família has been under construction since 1882… and is still ongoing!!
So much beauty and inspiration in one city 💛

The kids and Eric got to experience Italy—its history, culture, and FOOD 🇮🇹 Taiten asked to visit Pompeii after a school project, making it a fun day trip that brought his research to life. Compared old photos of us from nearly 20 years ago in the same spots and talked about what’s changed. Even with a little rain, Rome was incredible! I had to miss out on this trip, but it’s definitely a reason to come back to Italy.

Athens, layered and unforgettable!
Ancient columns at the Acropolis and the Agora, standing in awe on Mars Hill where Paul once spoke, and exploring the Panathenaic Stadium, the all-marble arena that hosted the first modern Olympic Games. We welcomed the New Year high above the city on Lycabettus Hill with a perfect sunset dinner, views and food we’ll never forget. As we wandered among the ancient city, cats seemed to be everywhere, often stealing the show for the kids. And we can’t forget the food… gyros, Greek salads, baklava, everything was amazing! 2026, you started off pretty perfectly. We’ll be back 🇬🇷

Last pic...you know you’re a mom of little kids when an ancient figure making a hand gesture labeled 67 is interesting. Also pretty sure we’ll look back and wonder why this was even a thing 🤦🏻‍♀️

Budapest was such a fun stop 🤍 We met up with good friends, the Wilcoxes, wandered between Buda and Pest across the iconic Chain Bridge, and took in the views from Fisherman’s Bastion. We ate plenty of goulash, discovered even more Christmas markets, and checked out the lively pub scene. If we’re being honest, the kids will probably remember hanging out with friends more than the actual city 🤣 Egészségedre! 🥂

Taiten competed in the 2025 Paraclimbing National Championships and placed 3rd in M-Youth! His dedication, passion, and heart for this sport inspire us beyond words. The entire weekend was an incredible experience, surrounded by athletes of all abilities who continue to push limits and redefine what’s possible. Every competitor left us in awe. A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible—we’re so grateful! This is just the beginning, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead!

Climbing Cascade Volcanoes this summer with the two oldest kids has been a challenge, but not nearly as challenging as bringing the third kid along. Yesterday, Taiten joined us for our third summit this summer. Standing only 10,363 feet tall, South Sister was more difficult than we had anticipated. Taiten, at five years old, was a stud though! He climbed most of the mountain on his own and only required a little help from papa near the summit (it was nap time 😂) and he said he "loved" the 40 mph sustained winds that were making the rest of us nervous. Having the entire family along for this adventure was incredible. Of the 11 Cascade Volcanoes in the US over 10,000 feet, Mayumi has summited 5, Kai 4, and Taiten 2.
